Great bags shipped fast and cheap
These are big bags. Of course you probably know that but they can hold a lot. I went to a different website that had a calculator that told me how many bags I needed for my sized attic and insulation depth because their website didn't have that function. It said two but I really needed three in order to avoid making the bags nearly impossible to move so I had to empty some out into a bin which was tricky. The bags are so affordable that you can err on the side of caution probably. They're made of rip-stop polyethylene but one of mine ripped. Keep in mind that you'll be picking up nails and other stuff in the attic most likely because if you're removing older insulation the home has probably been reroofed and it might be possible for sharp debris to make it into the bags. The "bag" is an about 2 .5 foot wide piece of open tube that is twisted and secured on one end with wire and open on the other. You just wrap the open end around your vac tube and you're off to the races with your "bag"! On the website it shows five tubes stacked inside a trailer. My stuff must be really heavy, rock wool mixed with vermiculate and cellulose for good measure and it would never stack the way it's pictured there. Rental store had bags for $28 each, or almost twice the cost so I'm happy.

Bags NOT sewn shut on EITHER end, leaking insulation everywhere.
The third BulldogVacBag I used wasn't completely sewn shut on the "sealed" end, and I didn't notice the defect when I attached the other, open end to my vacuum hose. The hose was necessarily long, because the place I had to vacuum was a long ways from it. So, I couldn't see the bag itself as I began vacuuming up insulation. Some time later, when I went out to check the bag, I saw that ALL of the highly toxic asbestos insulation I'd carefully vacuumed (with appropriate mask and clothing), had blown right out the other end of the faulty BulldogVacBag and contaminated most of our front yard. After sealing off the faulty end of the BulldogVacBag with a zip tie, it took hours of cleanup to go back and try to vacuum up all of the mulched asbestos. Extreme health hazard, very expensive to clean up, just because the BulldogVacBag people hadn't properly sewn the "sealed" end of their bag. I'm disgusted with the poor quality of the BulldogVacBags, will never buy them again.

I thought the overall strength of the bag material was very good. This was my first time using this type ...
Let’s start with the pros. I thought the overall strength of the bag material was very good. This was my first time using this type of bag, and had only ever used the lightweight polypropylene style before. These bags definitely can withstand some abuse. I also like how these bags are longer than the other style of bag. They’re not as big around, but these are much easier to stack and I’m not afraid that they’ll rip open while trying to move them. Now the cons. While I much prefer these bags to what we had used before, it seemed like I had to constantly keep an eye on the bag to make sure it was filling up evenly. Lots of compacting the insulation to get full use out of the bag. Also, having a 2-1/2’ opening is a little on the tricky side when it comes to closing the bag up. I think my vacuum hose is no bigger than 8”, so there is a lot of bag material falling loose when you’re switching out bags and trying to tie it off. I’m sure it’s something I’ll get used to, but a narrower neck would make things much easier for one person. All in all, a great product that I will continue to use.

Great product that I hope to never need again!
These bags worked great. I probably would have been able to fill up 10 or 11 from my 1500 sq.ft. attic but the calculator said I needed fewer.Emptying the bags (didn't have enough) was easy as long as you don't fill them much over 50% because they get heavy when full.No rips or tears during the removal and I had lots of nails and broken wood (refilled some bags 3x). When dragging the bags to our dumpster we put a tarp under and towed with the truck. They were easy to wrap around the exhaust of the vacuum and secure with duck tape.

They work, but I wouldn't buy them again.
Please note that these bags are breathable so dust, dirt, and insulation finds their way outside the bag. Rips easily and can cause debris to go everywhere. I was able to get the job done, but consider wrapping the bag so that debris stays near the bag.

Highly recommend
Worked brilliantly! I bought two so one could be filled while the other was being emptied, and that plan worked out great. The wide opening allowed for easy emptying and wasn't difficult to then attach to my vac via hose clamps (which I would have had to do anyway). These bags got dragged around a lot too and the durability exceeded my expectations. I had a roll of duct tape I expected to use frequently to patch small holes, and except for one time when a bag got snagged on a nail and pulled, the tape never got used.I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.
