Kingwin 12-Inch Fan Power Splitter Cable (PEC-05)

It should be straightforward, I installed the additional fans my mobo did not have fan headers for and then attached this cable the mobo fan header and then the additional fan. Not long after I smelled burning and immediately shut my pc off. My case fan was burned out that was attached to this cable. I was worried I had damaged my psu and/or mobo but it turned out to have just burned out the case fan. In the future I will go with what I did in the past and power extra case fans via the psu.

This solved my problem when I installed two case fans to my diy computer and the wires weren't long enough to reach the motherboard. It's not fancy, but it does the job.
