AccurideC 3832-C22P 3832 Series - 22" Full Extension Drawer Slide - 1 Pair

These were replacements for ones that broke on a large bottom drawer. They come as a pair but they are identical so left/right doesn’t matter but the release levers work in opposite directions. If you are a cabinet maker, or generally handy with projects, this is fairly straight forward. It took me awhile since it was a replacement and I had to remove the old broken hardware and the space was really tight to get into work. Since they were quite different from the original, I had to measure nearly all aspects: front/back, vertical positions, etc, on both the cabinet sides and drawer sides. Make sure there is similar clearance on the bottom as the other drawers. It was also important to be sure the front positions aligned with the other drawer faces. Screws were not included so there was a trip to the hardware store. In all I used 14 #8x1/2 pan head sheet metal screws. Be sure that the head is thin enough to clear the internal mechanism of the slide and it fits through any openings between the slide parts. I pre-drilled. Be sure your tape or rule measure has 32nd marks, some measurements need them. Most if the time was spent measuring and checking. You really only have one shot at it. By way, don’t you, your kids or grandkids use open drawers as a stepping stool.

One slide in a kitchen drawer started losing ball bearings so it needed to be replaced. I had to guess what to replace it with since the original had no markings at all! And I was correct (it almost never works out this well).Anyway it was a direct replacement and was amazingly easy. Good product!

Accuride makes durable, well-built drawer slides and Amazon has the best price for those I bought. I went back to Accuride after a knock-off from another manufacturer -- Centerline -- came apart during installation. Quick delivery from Amazon. Mounting multiple slides in a cabinet carcass can be tricky, even with a commercial jig, like the popular one sold by Rockler. That jig helped me install the first of six slide sets at the top, but I found it most efficient to use a spacer to do the other five. I cut a piece of 3/4" plywood as long as the carcass was deep and as wide as the distance between slides. I snugged the spacer up to the bottom of the first slide and clamped it to the front and rear of the carcass. (Leave the back of the cabinet open to do this.) I then placed the next slide tightly under the spacer and screwed it in. When all slides were in place, I used two identical spacers to support the drawer while I screwed the slides to it. Be sure to build the drawer to allow an extra 1/16" of space between drawer sides and slides to prevent binding. This method works best if you place the slides at the very bottom of the drawer. Note that the last set of slides requires thin spacers placed on the right and left of the cabinet's bottom -- I used 2" x 1/4" hardboard strips.

These do not auto close like we expected. Disappointed in quality and performance.

These should have com with instructions. There are probably 50 holes and 20 screws. I found the instructions online and there were some holes that you are not supposed to use. Also the screws were so small they came lose almost immediately. I had to use my own longer screws.

Strong, durable, quiet and easy to install. I've used this product before for CD drawers and other applications and all have been outstanding.

I sold Accuride products for years and I know what I'm talking about . Ball bearing movements, more screw holes than you will ever need and the list goes on and on. 100# rated - that's a lot of useful info right there! Put in the best and don't get stuck with rattle and squeak.
