I bought a new grill for this summer. It has a thermometer, but I wanted one that would be more so on the meat. Cannot close the grill with it inside. It will not work after. As it can only heat up to 485 degree f. This is the same for the probes. Keep away from the open flame. The thermometer is a touch screen and its easy to use. Connect the unit to your smartphone via Bluetooth (IPhone or android) Set your preferences or use the recommend settings on the main unit or using the app on your phone, plug in the probe to the selected food your preparing and wait to be alerted on your phone that your item has reach the desired internal temperature and that’s it. Easy to follow set up instructions and a link to the iPhone or android app that will be used on your phone. More features than units at even twice the price. Very impressed!

I just used the Smartoro for the first time today and it is really cool! The phone app is really useful if you need to step away from the grill for a second. And it is cool that you can set alarms at any temperature that you want.

I really love how the Smartro Bluetooth thermometer worked when I smoked some steaks and also BBQ’D steaks. My steaks turned out amazing!!! I love how I could read the temps right from my phone. Totally worth buying! Such an amazing price for such a great product.!!

All you have to do is click the M button and choose your meat. Then stick the probe in the meat and see if the temp is equal or more than the proper temperature. Perfect investment for those that still actually cook for the holiday dinners. I’ve used this twice since I got it and this last time for Mother’s Day. I’ve always been bad for over cooking my ham but this prevented that making dinner amazing
