daily wearwatch, this looks ~so~ much better than just about ...
For an simple, functional, daily wear watch, this looks ~so~ much better than just about every watch I looked at (at least 30 different models.) I instantly loved it and have not stopped wearing it since it arrived. The colors go well with just about everything you can imagine, the off-white face with black details is easy to read (with or without the light), the date is large enough to be read without ruining the overall design, and the clean lines of the case present a quite refined look. This is a traditional sized men's watch, so be sure to check the diameter of the case before you order. Large watches have been in vogue for some time (no further comments) but this is the same size as the couple of old watches I have that date back to the late 70's and early 80's.The band is a padded leather with an imprint on one side (a stylized E) which feels nice, even on warm days. I have not seen any staining or discoloration of the leather with normal wear, although it's not the highest quality leather out there. The band is of standard design, so you'll be able to get a different color or style easily (not all watches use a standard band design, so be ready for that.)If you are looking for a functional, clean looking watch that is both reliable and smart looking, able to handle being work with jeans and a tee shirt or a blazer and tie, something that won't be ruined if you hold your umbrella for a lady on a rainy day, then look no further. If you are more interested in a tea saucer with knobs on that shouts 'Hey! Everybody! Check out my watch!!' you might want to look elsewhere...

Excellent, Except in a Single Respect.
I've always liked Timex watches, and after receiving this watch and using this one for several weeks, I remembered why. The watch is solidly made, hits that nice sweet spot between being big enough to see easily and not damaging your shirt cuff (or making it too hard to get your shirt cuff over it), and the Indiglo feature is superb--much, much better than a luminous dial. It's not pretentious. If you're like me and aren't trying to flaunt it or make a fashion statement, it's an excellent choice. Most importantly, it's an excellent value, and performs as well as watches many times its cost. There's only one thing you should be aware of, though, and it's the reason I dock the watch one star. While the numbers are very easy to read, the hour and minute hands are largely white with just a little bit of silver around their edges. If your eyesight is like mine, and you prefer an analog watch over a digital one because you can get the time by just looking at the hands, rather than at smaller numbers, you may have the same difficulties I did reading the time on the fly. The hour and minute hands don't present much of a contrast against the face of the watch. (You can solve the problem by tilting the watch to let the light bounce off the silver, but it's extra effort.) For that reason, I'll be replacing this watch with another Timex--one that's the same in every respect but that has hour and minute hands that present more of a contrast, and that's likely to be more or less the same price.

4 Years On
Bought this Expedition on Amazon in December 2015 after my first one (purchased in 2000) got old/beat up (still kept excellent time). It spent 8 years in the Army with me, went on numerous deployments around the world. This one was somewhat smaller than my original. I wear the watch 24/7. I don't wear it swimming/bathing or running (although I ran with the original regularly). I'm not hard on a watch, but I don't give take special precautions either. Always loved the look/style. Keeps excellent time. Indiglo is an excellent feature, and provides all the brightness you could want, but I suspect the movement on this watch slows a bit the more often I use it, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Also, Indiglo sometimes gets activated inadvertently if I bend my wrist just right, which could work against you tactically if you're trying to remain unseen in the dark.I did not rate water resistance because I've never immersed my watch. Still, 24/7 wear in all weather conditions has never resulted in any moisture issues.Quartz movement on my watch is easily accurate to within +/- 5 seconds per week. Watch can be easily synchronized and is reliable. In my opinion, for under $35, you can't go wrong. Practically disposable at that price. But you won't want to.

Nice watch, does everything advertised to do.
After wearing and using this Timex watch, I am mostly happy and satisfied with my purchase. Allow me to explain; it does everything advertised and more. The watch is elegant, and keeps time. Easy to use. My dislikes: the case is very small, almost as it were made for a child. The leather band is hard and not very pliable. I have medium to small hands, but the watch does not buckle on the center of my wrist so it is always sitting to the side; again as it were designed for a child and not an adult. Again, nothing wrong with the watch, it's just a design flaw if the intended use is an adult. In my excitement I threw the packaging away before wearing it, otherwise I would return it. Check the specifications before purchase, nice watch.

Great watch at a great price
It's become my daily wear. For the price, it's a great watch. Indiglo is great. Easy to set the time. Watch strap is super comfortable. Size and thickness is perfect for my 7.25"-7.5" wrist. Can hear some ticking if you are in a quiet room and have the watch nearby, but nothing that bothers me. Don't plan to take it swimming, so not sure on water resistance.

Ruggedly Stunning
Love this watch after receiving it. Like the light when you press the winding screw. Need to see at night though. Simple with military time too and date. Just gorgeous I would say.
