Came in great condition use it to mostly take picture so for that purpose it sure does the job

Cheap AND good--what's not to love?
I bought one of these early in my pandemic mask-making days because I wanted to use a rotary cutter to cut out mask pieces. I'd had a chance to try a name-brand mat in the past, but I couldn't justify the price when I was looking for one of my own. The Dahle mat was an amazing deal. It's got centimeter as well as inch markings, and it's held up beautifully despite my initially overaggressive cutting style.I recently bought this item a second time when I wanted a smaller mat to use with a turntable. Looking at prices, I decided to buy the 12 x 18 again and cut the old one in half for a turntable mat. (How do you cut a cutting mat? Score it deeply with a big box cutter and snap it.) Worked like a charm. I recommend this mat highly.

What can I say? I wanted blue, but for some reason colors of the same size are not the same price? Not cool. Otherwise...it's a cutting mat..good for painting on. I guess. I haven't scratch built any model parts, so I haven't thoroughly tested the "self healing". Does it really matter though?

It makes some nice and helpful photos
I wanted a measuring mat to help give more information in my reviews that's easily viewable, so accurate measurements were essential. I can confirm that all the measurements are correct with my unit. The angle guides are an excellent addition, although I can't test their accuracy.I did a test cut, purposefully cutting into the mat, to see how well the "self-healing" properties are; It did form back with a visible scar, but you can't feel it. For cuts you don't need measurements for, I recommend using the backside as it has no measurements to risk damaging. However, it still has the same "self-healing" property.

Must have for crafting
This is a super great cutting mat for crafting. It’s a little small for my desk but it gets BW job done. Very durable and thick. Black looks super sleek and it’s a must if you do lots of projects so you don’t get your surface dirty!
