My 11yo preferred these to start with
Single dad here. When my young tween was first in her class to get her period, we had a lot of open conversations and she naturally started with pads. Eventually, she became curious about tampons. I encouraged her to ask trusted older friends and women in her life about their experiences and preferences, and assured her that there is nothing to be ashamed of and I'm sure they will confirm that, too. Based on their input, we bought the smallest options from three recommended brands, including these o.b. mini.I told her my job was to support her in having what she needs to figure out what works best for HER, including when her needs or preferences may change. I motivated her to understand how each tampon is made, soak them in water, pull on the strings to test integrity, do a few physics experiments on volume measurements, and most importantly take her time figuring out how to use them in a relaxed setting until she's ready to use them. We also found a few different videos to watch to get different neutral perspectives and tips. It's been a couple months now and she ultimately chose o.b. mini to start with, and here’s why:1. Smallest and least intimidating: These were the smallest tampons we could find, period (pun intended). She said she felt more in control when no applicator was involved (applicator added unnecessary friction when pushing the plunger and was not as straightforward)2. Quality construction: The o.b. mini held its shape better than others when soaked, it expanded more evenly, and the string stayed secure (i was surprised that one of the other brands had a string come loose). It also felt smoother and cleaner when unwrapped.3. Discreet and portable: They fit easily into a cleaned Altoids tin or Tic Tac container for her school backpack, or in her cargo pants.4. Low waste: This matters to her. Not having an applicator means the only thing to throw away prior to use is the wrapper.We both really appreciate how o.b. has created something that feels intentional and gentle enough for someone just starting out (and earlier than her peers). I never expected to learn this much about tampon design, but here we are!

Perfect for people new to tampons!
LOVE the OB mini tampons with the comfort wrap! They don’t have that cottony, nails on a chalkboard feel other tampons do. They go in and come out smooth! They’re smaller than any other tampons so especially good for preteens and teens!

Workout Tampons
I was looking for shorter Tampons to use for the gym... the regular ones are just a little too long and start to get irritating while working out. These are perfect! Will be ordering again

Size
Purchased for my daughter who just started having her menstrual cycle and she is afraid to use tampons so bought these for has to try. Although she may some day use them she is still more comfortable with the pads and period underwear.
