Iv had it for about 2 months know and I love it. The price isn’t so bad and the camera works great. Quality is superb and the video is remarkable. I’m happy I went with the Hero 8. The stabilization it has is in rest and the main reason I went with it. Make sure to get a handful of batteries they last about 45-1 hour but other then that this thing is great.

I bought this as a birthday present for hubby and was disappointed when we received the brand new product it didn't boot up. The representative explained that this sometimes happens when a product sits on the shelf for an extended period of time. Customer Service worked with us on an exchange. We were even upgraded to the HERO 10! Definitely a win, win situation!

I bought the GoPro Hero 8 in order to take time-lapse photos while driving cross-country. The intent was to splice all of the photos into a video at a later time.The photos taken are OUTSTANDING. I am more than satisfied with the results. I plugged the camera into the car so I did not have to rely on the battery except when the car was turned off.The only criticism is the lack of information found so far that explains how to take the individual sequences of photos and convert them into video... but when I determine how to do that, then I will have no reservations in recommending the camera!

Probably one of thee best investments I've made regarding flying fpv drones. Sure the jumper t16 an the skyzone sky02c an all the quadcopters I've build are the major point. Yet, with out a action camera to collect the flight footage i wouldn't be able to share the experience. The hero8 is bar none one of my favorite cameras. Being able to adjust the settings very easily. The amount of add ons out there makes it easy to find ND filters that fit. Battery last long enough to do what I need it to. Wireless video/photo upload to the quik app is alright. But I didn't renew my subscription, to costly. Removable battery is awesome. Being able to take the sd card out , load it into my laptop an upload my flights to YouTube is really nice. Slow motion is really fun.

EDIT I tried using this with a much larger capacity external battery & without the stock battery, and it worked fine for a whole 1+ hour run at 100F outside. The little battery door has to stay cracked open for the battery cable, but I was able to get a good quality stabilized video. It’s a bit of a pain, but I run with a backpack so I can put the battery in there. I’m going to give it 4 stars for this, taking off 1 star for the poor stock batteries. And decided not to return it.Original reviewI bought this to take with me on bike rides and runs. When I first charged it and powered it on, I observed that the battery % icon immediately drop by 1%. I thought, hmmm, that’s odd, so I watched it for another few minutes, and it dropped a couple % more. I was hopeful that this was just some phenomenon related to the initial powerup so I proceeded to take it along on a run. It was about 101F outside in Phoenix today, below the supposed threshold, and the camera seemed to get hot very quickly. The camera itself shut off after 30 to 45 min, and the battery was totally drained. Very disappointing as I had high hopes for this camera. I guess if you plan on shooting 5 min skateboarding videos inside in the A/C, then this camera will be a good by for you. Otherwise it is useless. Returning.

Hey.The product is excellent.For the first time the door was not closed to me but the seller replaced the camera for me.good seller.The camera is small.It's convenient to take her to places.The design is amazing.There are YouTube tutorials.I'm going to fly to San Francisco, Las Vegas and Miami.I'm sure it's going to be funWith the camera.RegardsAlon FertiG

Looks like there's a new update with superview in 4k! & other improvements as well! This might sound crazy but im using this camera mainly in 1080p because of my computer lol..but will record in 4k eventually (I noticed the 1080p is way better than my old cams!!!) Coming from a Sony action cam as30 (use it for fishing and still do) so this is a huge upgrade. My buddies have the Sony action cam 300/3000 which I wanted until I noticed they came out with the Gopro hero 8!! If youre not sure what to get as far as action cams(I knows there's the Osmo etc) you need to compare the settings not quality, with the new update and all the things you can do as far as adjusting quality, fps, view, colors, sharpness etc..nothing compares to this Gopro anymore as far as action cams go. Ive heard a small % of people are having heating issues so I will update If I have any, but so far everyone I know that has this hasn't had any issues recording in 4k. There are a lot of fake bad & good reviews out there, so do a lot of research before buying anything.. and THEN decided for yourself.Will update if I have any issues in the future!!Here I come fish :D

The media could not be loaded. THE QUALITY IS KIND OF OK. . . NOT EXTREMELY WORTH THE PRICE IT COST. . BUT IT CATCHED ACTION SHOTS, RECORDS FOR A GREAT DURATION TIME, LITE ON WEIGHT AND PICKS UP COOL QUALITY BUT GOPRO NEEDS A BETTER COMPATIBLE EDITING SOFTWARE.
