(NOTE: This is not the review mentioned by another reviewer that fails to rate the actual carrier--I AM rating the actual carrier as 4 Stars)I wanted a carrier that was roomy enough that my paranoid cat would not freak when I take her to the Vet. Standard carriers (plastic) make her feel confined because she can't see out very well. This one fits her well, although I would have preferred a little more height so she could sit up without ducking her head to look out the screens. However, I was aware of the measurements before ordering.This is a very well-made carrier at a reasonable price. It has metal pipes as framing, the material is tough, and the screening seems strong. The carrying handle is comfortable to use. It carries well with a 12# cat in it without losing its shape. It folds down easily and reasonably flat, with a handle for carrying. Makes it very convenient to store.Reasons that I'm rating this 4 stars instead of 5? It came with absolutely NO instructions. I understand that it only has so many parts, but a picture would have been helpful. It is not real easy to put together, (arthritic folks take note) as the pipes have to be pushed outwards to stretch the unit, then brought together at exactly the same time. And then the plastic sliding part at the end of one pipe slides into position to lock it and the opposite pipe into place. Now come on, guys; if we can hang a tag on this product that brags about the "Thinsulate" bottom pad, then we could include a picture to help out the 'mechanical-challenged' customers like myself. So, minus one star.Now, I'll share some additional information about the carrier, the manufacturer, and Amazon for your enjoyment (or not). I have never had to return any item that I've ordered from Amazon that THEY have supplied directly, so I was not familiar with their return policies. The first carrier that I received from Amazon was defective. The pipes were simply too long to fit together, no matter how much I tried. I shouldn't have to give myself a hernia to assemble something. So I contacted the manufacturer, PetLife. I wanted to make sure that I was assembling it (trying to, anyway) properly. They were reasonably helpful, and we concluded that I must have received a defective unit. They would however, charge me a shipping charge to return the defective item to them for a replacement. Since I'm a Prime member with Amazon, I receive free shipping when they supply and ship a product. So I contacted Amazon to see what could be done that wouldn't cost me. They were extremely helpful and apologetic. A replacement carrier (that they tested before shipping) arrived the VERY NEXT DAY. The pickup of the defective carrier was also arranged by Amazon and occured the day after. I was impressed and satisfied with Amazon's Customer service, and the exchange didn't cost me a dime. Which it never should, in my opinion, when an item is defective--manufacterers take note, please.No rating on the defective carrier (mistakes happen).4 Stars for the 2nd (replaced) carrier.5 Stars for Amazon's customer service.

Nice soft sided crates. I will be using it to transport my new puppy in my car. I have done this with my last dog and worked beautifully with another soft sided crate. The crate arrived on time. It is a really bright orange. Which is what I was looking for. The canvas is heavy and should be quite sturdy to normal wear and tear. The screened sections are not made ofthe material you would think of for a tent or camping equipment. It is much heavier than that and should also hold up well. Bonus is the crate mat it came with. It is not very thick but most other crates I looked at before purchasing this did not come with one at all. Set up was a breeze. They provided directions on how to set up the crate. That was helpful. So far, without having put it to use, it seems pretty well put together. I am happy with it so far.Update 2/4/17- 8 months later and I'm still loving this crate. . It does have a small tear in the screen but that's all and I think it was me, not my dog. The rest of the crate is wearing nicely against the rough lab puppy. He's about 85 lbs now and crate trained. I think this important to know. He is familiar with being crated and remains calm while crated. I can't speak to how it would hold up to a rammy uncrate trained dog. The crate pad it came with I can't speak as highly of. It has not weather so well. Not because he chewed it but because the bottom liner ripped away from the top. Like I said before... Not a huge loss as this was a bonus for me. I will likely replace it but it is still in the crate for now but he doesn't care for it much anyway. Fits in my car nicely(Explorer) and collapses easily. It's lightweight and I have transferred it from one car to another without breaking a sweat. It serves its intended purpose and is holding up very nicely. I'm still very happy with it. . Only wish it had another door in the side but really it's fine the way it is. I was just spoiled with my last soft sided crate. I still highly recommend this crate! Especially to anyone who will be using it as an in car travel crate. It's perfect to keep my lab puppy safe in the car. I have been actively using the crate since 7/2016 and still money well spent.

Easy to assemble and flexible so great for travel. Great value! This is not meant to restrain a pet; rather to contain them - we have an active Old English Sheepdog whom we transport in this kennel when we drive on vacation. Great product.

I bought 3 of these to take my pups on trips. Very pleased. Sturdy, nice looking crates. Plenty of room for dog. Good looking crate and happy I chose this brand.

Looks well constructed. Hopefully it holds up. Our dog is crate trained and she loves to go with us but we like to confine her and her doghair:) during the trip and keep her from scratching the leather etc.

Mesh has split in due to box damage on delivery and due to size can’t send back !

This is the perfect size for my 15-inch tall, 17-lb dog. Public transit in my city requires pets to be completely enclosed in a carrying case, so a tote or a backpack holder wouldn't cut it. I also love that it folds flat, so when we get off the train, I can let my dog out and easily carry the crate around with me at our destination. The only thing I wish it had is a shoulder strap to make it easy to sling the folded case over my shoulder. But I was able to rig a way to attach it to my backpack, so it worked out. I love this thing and I'll be using it a lot. It opens up so many more places I can go with my dog around town now!

Looked at a lot of carriers of this type prior to purchase. Chose this one based on sale price at the time. Completely satisfied after using it for a few weeks. Has a sturdy rigid frame covered with premium quality material. All zippers and fasteners are strong, reliable and trouble free. We use it for travel in our vehicle. The pets are highly visible, no need to open it to get a look inside. A nice fitting fake lambs wool bed is included. Considering it's an extra small size, it's probably larger than expected unless the dimensions are taken into consideration. Great deal, great product. Already bought a second one and another one in a different size. Very satisfied.

This carrier was everything it stated it would be. My 18lb , 6 months old corgi is just the right size for the small. He uses it as a bed for overnight stays and at the moment we're still using it to carry him in the car. It's quite sturdy. He's out of the chewing stage so I'm not anticipating any damage to the carrier for the future. The bottom of the carrier has a thin liner in it. That could be of better quality, but the carrier wasn't that expensive so I wasn't really expecting anything grand.Overall I love the carrier.Word of advice... they are advertising the carriers for dogs from medium size up when you look at the "Large" version. I had ordered that first and it's WAY too large. Even the Medium is too large for my dog.

The crate is everything described and more - it's roomy, well ventilated and very comfy for my cat. We take long trips with her and this crate allows her to move around, stand up and stretch out. She was a very happy traveler on our last road trip!
