OMT One-Man Brake Bleeding Kit with Hand Vacuum Pump and Dial Gauge, Blue

I am not entirely sure that the vacuum pump method of bleeding brakes is the best way to go. Nothing against this tool by any means, it is just easier using the bottle and hose immersed in brake fluid. I had problems with the vacuum sucking air around the threads of the bleed valve. Putting Teflon tape on the threads made a big difference. Another thing I learned is that the short clear tube that fits inside of the jar is just the right length to rest against the bottom and obstruct fluid flow. Easy solution - just cut a slight diagonal slice off the end. Works great. Overall I am pleased with the quality of the tool. It is a complete kit, offering all the accessories needed. And the materials and finish are impervious to brake fluid and it cleans up easily. But, if I did it again, I would buy the bleed kit that pressurizes the reservoir. Those cost a little more, but I think would be easier to use. I like this brand, and would buy whatever they had.

Was excellent and durable in my experience using it to completely flush a 2016 f150 by myself. Worked with no hitches and no leaks. I only wish the reservoir was larger.

I really wanted this to work as it looked like a good little kit but I was sadly disappointed. The fittings are pretty flimsy so there were air leaks constantly. I tried the little hose clamps that were included as suggested to eliminate the leaks but they didn’t help. There were so many little bubbles that entered the hose at the caliper nipple I couldn’t tell if they were from the brake line or leaking in from the tool. I finally did it the old fashioned way, used one of the long hoses from the kit, an old jar, and called my wife out to the garage to pump the pedal. It took us less time to do the three remaining wheels/calipers than it did to struggle with the tool on the first caliper. I’m returning this. Don’t waste your time or money.

Bought this to perform brake and hydraulic clutch bleeding maintenance on my Harley Davidson. Everything in the kit was what I needed to perform it. The gauge on the vacuum pump is no longer sitting at zero, but it does still pull a vacuum.

If you’re buying this with the thought that you’ll be able to bleed brakes by yourself, at the corner of the vehicle, with this one amazing tool, I wouldn’t count on it. The vacuum pump functions fine for vacuuming fluid out of the reservoir. Although the capacity of the collection jar is tiny when you’re talking about removing fluid from most vehicles, it does a good job actually creating vacuum and removing the fluid. When it comes to attaching to a bleeder screw and maintaining a vacuum to bleed your lines and calipers, it is not so simple. The plastic bleeder attachments are cheap and flimsy, designed to fit a multitude of vehicles, so the chances that the fit will be snug on your particular bleeder are slim. Some grease or some teflon might help you make a better seal, but by the time you have made that mess, you’re better off using the old school method of submerging a piece of tubing into a Gatorade bottle 1/4 full of clean break fluid and creating your own brake bleeder. Even with some teflon and grease, and using the including wire clamps, I wasn’t able to make a tight enough seal around my bleeder to make any meaningful progress. Keep in mind, I’m bleeding brakes on a Suburban, so large calipers, lots of brake line, a large amount of fluid. It took 10 minutes of pumping and cracking the bleeder to get about an ounce of fluid out of the first caliper, meaning it isn’t worth the time or effort. I wound up aborting, and using the included tubing and a clean 1/2 full bottle of brake fluid to make a poor man’s brake bleeder, and finished the corner I was working on and the other 3 corners in about the same amount of time that I wasted playing with the vacuum pump. Keeping it around, because I can see other uses for it in the future around the garage, like changing power steering fluid or pumping fluid out of a differential or transmission pan without having to remove the entire pan (although I’m going to have to fabricate a much larger catch can for that job, because 6 oz at a time will take all day) but it wasn’t the end all be at all brake bleeder that it is advertised to be.

I've used it to bleed brakes with no help work perfectly lay. Quality is good enough for dyi people but won't last if you use it every day

Excellente petite pompe qui m'a permis de pouvoir vérifier si ma capsule de wastegate de turbo était encore bien étanche et fonctionnelle. Ca m'a évité un démontage long et un remplacement de pièce coûteux. A la place, j'ai juste eu à changer l'électrovanne du turbo et c'est reparti pleine puissance. Le seul petit point que je dirai négatif c'est qu'il est difficile d'enlever les tuyaux transparents une fois qu'ils sont bien ancrés dans la pompe, j'ai dû découper un bout pour pouvoir enlever le tuyau.

Funktioniert einwandfrei bei Kupplung und Bremsen. Ich habe dieses Gerät bei Motorraäder in Verwendung.

This kit is OK, it’s superb value for money while probably not up to constant use it’s fine for home DIY. Used to flush brakes, but as a vacuum pump it’s not great for final bleeding (air bubbles come in round the bleed screw so you can’t tell when you’re done).
