Probably not. Download the Danfoss ref tools app, it has a magnetic tool in the app that you can use for both motors and solenoid valves.

Q: what kind of motor does this work on , I have tried it one a 1/2 hp all the way up to 1000hp and it does not work they are all ac drive motors

These work on the 1/25th+ holiday pumps I install on hydronic heating systems. Hold the disc up against the end of the motor and it will spin the same direction as the electrical flow...........it does not tell you that the impeller is rotating it only tells you that there is power to the motor and its trying to turn the impeller, and which direction it is trying to turn it.
