Q: Can i connect a reciever to this?

No. the chassis has only three output jacks, 2 RCA (L ch & R ch), and one 3mm headphone jack. However, there is a built-in A.M. / F.M. receiver, and tuner, that gives fair quality sound. There are no input jacks.

Q: Are there any copatible speakers

The speakers, on board, are good quality but any amplified speakers that you could connect to the outputs , would, in-all-probability, be better.

Q: can you play 45 records on it?

Yes, this product plays 33 1/3, 45 and 78.
