My daily laptop for work and home had an SSD that was having issues and had to be sent to be repaired or replaced since it's soldered in, not user replaceable. So I grabbed the Lenovo Flex laptop I got for my son a couple years ago to use as my temp system since he still has his chromebook from school.But I didn't want to have to crawl under my couch twice a day, to unplug and replug the power cord for this every day I went to work. So I found this and can leave the original at home, and this is now with me here at the office.Worked fine, no issues charging, no heat issues. Works every bit as reliably as the original. And I like having the branded one not some questionable cheap third party knockoff...

Works for Flex 5 - Amazon Saves the Day!
I really like this power adapter. Its compact compared to the USB-C and it works on my Flex 5. I was a bit worried as the Amazon see if it works drop down indicates its not for my computer. I found this after searching the manufacturers website for parts code and an internet search. The prongs do not fold in. The cord comes with an attached velcro cord keeper which I really appreciate since it makes it convenient for storage, travel and use.Purchased because my USB-C would not charge despite having multiple USB-C Lenovo cords I tried and even working for screen share using my work dock station that is USB-C. It would not charge at all and after trying computer updates, following technical instruction on the Lenovo website it wouldn't charge. I was down to 17% and nervous as this laptop is primarily for homeschooling, it was out of manufacturers warranty and I never registered the extended warranty (receipt lost).Thank goodness for Amazon, my on time store! Despite indicating it wouldn't arrive till Monday (2 day Prime) it came on Sunday. I plugged it in and its a tight almost worrisome tight fit. I plugged it up and it charges. I will also say I found a simple fix (not on Lenovo website) for the USB-C issue.I am keeping this plug despite the fix because who knows if it will happen again plus this is much smaller to travel with then the included USB-C cord. Only thing I would like different is the prongs to fold in for easier travel.
