I was hesitant about buying this after I saw all the comments about looking orange. I have bought sooo many tanners. Vita Librada (chk sp) and other top of the line stuff. Even the cheaper drugstore brands. Some of the mousse ones were hard to apply but diggone it I learned to put that $$#+ on!!😀 I was determined to get a tan!!So I ordered this after seeing it over and over on Pinterest. So I took the plunge, what's one more tanner right? Guess what? It works. I love the color! I am latina. Everybody in my family considers me light. My dad is dark and my mom is super white latina with green eyes. So I came out olive skinned but not a golden olive skin. More of a light olive. My arms will tan but my legs will burn. I have never really gotten tan before because I tend to burn instead of getting dark.But this Dark Tones gave me a nice tan. I used a tanning mit and put it on. A little goes a long way because the lotion stays on your mitt where you can rub in like real lotion. Unlike the Mousse that just smears all over. It does not go on like a self tanner. It goes on like a lotion. It took me a full 8 hrs to see a tan. But that's okay because it looks natural. Also I put a moisturizing lotion around my elbows, ankles on top of hands and on top of feet and knees. So then I just used this tanner all over even the areas that I put the mousturizing lotion and the top of feet and ankles ext., looked even and tanned without staining.The smell is amazing. It smells like tangerines and oranges. Most self tanners say once it dries you can put your clothes and go about your business but its never true. The self tanning smell stinks so bad that you can't. But this one you can. Wait to dry, then you can put your clothes on. It will smell like self tanner but it takes 8 hrs for you to smell that way.I finally found something I am happy with. Who would have thought.P.S. if you are olive toned it might be a good idea to use the dark tone because the lighter one may make you orange. The dark tone is not black. It turns a golden color like if you lightly baked in the sun. It has a tad of brown in it mixed with gold. So like my chest is very light and it made it tanned with some light golden color which gives the appearance that you layed in thr sun and got a tad red. Hard to explain. It just looks like a real tan.Love it! Now with some blonde highlights added to my carmel hughlighted hair, I will be killin it. 😀P.S.S. So far no build up either as I added more 2 days later.1 MONTH UPDATE:It's been almost One Month after using. Okay I do exfoliate very well. I have to say when this tanner begins to wear off on neck area, it is bad. It's splotchy and looks horrible. I even tried applying lotion before using the tanner, in hopes that would help some how. But no 😝 it looked splotchy and horrible. But on the rest of my body it does fine as it wears off. So what I do now is use a different self tanner only on my neck. And no splotchiness as my tan wears off.UPDATE: I noticed that it did not have a bad fading effect on my neck as long as I exfoliate well. I used sparingly on neck and it fades naturally.

Looks great and goes on easy. Reapply twice a week for a beautiful tan.

This self tanner is amazing, looks very natural I mix it with my lotion when I put it on in the morning. Have had lots of compliments, does not streak looks very natural

The darkness of the tan has lessened over the years I’ve been using this, but it is still my favorite self-tanner. I enjoy both the dark tones and the anti-aging for a natural, deeper tan. I wish it tanned as dark as it used to, but applying a couple days in a row achieves the same natural glow. My favorite part is the citrusy smell when you apply and if you sweat later in the day or wear for a full 24 hours you don’t get that stinky fake tan smell. Makes my skin so soft, but can be drying for some (my sister said it dried her out, but she rarely moisturizes). I always exfoliate before applying and moisturize daily so I’ve never had a streaky, flaky, or patchy uneven tan when using this product - and I’ve used it for at least 5 years. Moisturizing between applications helps uneven fade.I took a star off because the level of tan being less than it was in previous years, requiring more applications to achieve the deep tan.

I have used this since 2018 and it used to be amazing, but the last 3 bottles have been awful. It doesn't get as dark as it used to and is streaky, and wears off within a day. I know how to use it and loved it and told everyone to buy it. I am very disappointed.

If you're looking for a soft glow, then this serum will do the trick. It is definitely not going to give you the dark brown tan you see in the image advertised. . .not even close. It goes on better than most, smells good and doesn't leave you with that smell you get sometimes after it starts settling into your body chemistry. Something I noticed and not sure how to interpret, a very very dark pigmentation that seems separated from the lotion in the bottle. No matter how much I shook it, it almost seems like part of the product was reacting with the plastic bottle, causing dark brown stains to appear in areas near the bottom of the amber tinted bottles. Does the tint settle out? I don't know, but I've never seen such uneven color in a bottle that is supposed to be just an amber tinted, plastic bottle.

This does exactly what the self tanning “moose” does, without the extra steaks. Being a lotion, it’s so much easier to rub it. However, it does stain and turn over time so you should use a tanning mit to apply, and be careful around your knees, elbows, ankles. I was very shocked at how dark this got. I’m a pretty pale person ! I highly recommend !

This was the worst self tanner I have ever used. First application and my skin turned orange and it too a coupe of weeks to get it off my skin. I would not recommend this lotion to anyone!
