Cangshan D Series 61772 German Steel Forged 3-Piece Starter Knife Set

These are great knives, very sharp we are glad we opted for the knife covers.

I love these knives. Super sharp, comfortable in the hand. I haven't had them long enough to make any statements about long term use, but in the month I've had them, they have been a joy. Prep work is done in seconds it seems. Only warning is to be extra careful as they are sharper than most knives you can buy.

Cangshan is a tough one. They are pretty new and I suspect they are looking for business. They also have so many different lines of knives it is easy to get quite confused.Their 8 pack of German steak knives that come with the nice wooden block were a steal at 99 bucks. Even now I believe the price has gone up. And I absolutely love their Swedish steel.I bought the three pack of D series knives and wasn’t sure what I thought of them. The handle is a personal preference I suppose. I like the TS series handles the best.But... for the money, these knives are pretty good. My youngest daughter learned a hard lesson trying to dry off one of these knives.I’ve mostky used Wüsthof Ikon and Shun. But I’ve also used the Victorinox 8 inch chefs knife. Not a horrible knife, but you’d be a fool to buy that knife over this Cangshan when you consider their price and quality. There’s no comparison.These knives are sharp and they feel quite nice. I think most people who pick up this knife will think they cost more than they do, and I’d guess that soon, once people realize the level of quality Cangshan is producing, the prices really will start to rise.So buy while they’re cheap.

These are a great set of knives. I bought these as a starter set for my son who is interested in culinary school and these are very sharp and work well for a novice.

It/the 3 pack was very solid feeling and sharper

Amazingly sharp and great to hold. Be careful as these are so sharp that the foods cuts itself when the blade comes in the vicinity.

These are beautiful and very sharp knives. However, after just a few uses, and being extremely careful to wash after every use the Chef’s knife has reacted badly to cutting a lemon. It’s permanently stained, which is disappointing (see images). Not sure if it’s the quality or hadn’t luck. I really love the knives but can’t give it a hugely positive review. Oh well.
