Looking at the keyboard from above, it does have a kind of keyboard appearance to it. My issue is with the quality of the board itself. It just feels cheap, and some of the keys squeak when I'm using them (especially the space bar). These are NOT Cherry MX Blue Switches, and in fact there is very little sound coming from the keys if you're someone who is accustomed to the loud clatter of a blue switch. I'd liken the sound of these particular switches to typing through a pillow case. The sound is subtle and muted. I definitely cannot see the justification for the price in comparison to the quality of the board itself; they're just not meshing in my opinion. I'm thinking that keeping it isn't an option at this point, as I can get something I know is good quality, has authentic switches, and is just over half of the price of this particular keyboard. I'd rather invest in typewriter key caps than live with squeaky keys that feel like they're going to break with every compression. It's just 'okay'.

The keyboard is very nice to type on, but does have the unique round keys that take some time to get use to. It is not difficult/ The different lighting modes offered work efficiently, and the instructions for changing between them is on the box it is shipped in. My keyboard had the CAPS key fall off during shipment and it has fell off once since, i am not sure if it is going to cause problems but will update the review accordingly. The keyboard comes with extra switches, and a fairly long usb cable.Overall I would suggest the purchase if it is the style you're going for.

This keyboard is awesome. The bluekeys sound and feel great. I also really enjoy the various lighting patterns available. However, I feel that the keyboard could have benefitted from a solid color option, where all keys were the same color LED as opposed to each row being a different color. The only other concern may be the actual size of the keys. I am 6'4" and have large fingers so the keys are a smidge small, but not so small that I can't use it. Overall, the keyboard has a great aesthetic look and feel to it. Would recommend to a friend.

Ended up sending this keyboard back. The lights are stuck in the color that you see. You cannot change the color of the back lights, and you cannot make them uniform. Other than that, it was a pretty cool keyboard to type on. I did not like that the keys themselves did not light all the way through the keycaps.

Instructional card included.+ I love how I can change the brightness, THANKYOU for that feature, my room is dark and I am a 3D artist with 3 monitors so although I enjoy rainbow lit keyboards I needed one that was not so bright... I turned it down easily! No glare and no distraction!+ My husband has a $300 keyboard and now he wants mine. Very pleasing and fun buy.+ Packaging was nice and tight, I have Prime so it shipped in 2 days. Nothing broken or out of place.- Only nitpicky thing I have to say is that the letters are not exactly in the middle on some keys... but I'll be wearing them out anyway!

Purchased this as a birthday gift for my best friend and she loves it! Wish it came with instructions on how to access the different color lighting features, but luckily I found out through amazon's questions answered section (Fn+Insert, I believe). Only other downside of my experience was that it wasn't shipped until over a week after I ordered it. And while it did come within the estimated time frame, I wish it had came sooner. But otherwise, the product itself looks sleek and really delivers the feel (and sound) of a typewriter! It feels sturdy and worked as soon as we plugged it in! (In case anyone was wondering, she uses a Windows Surface so yes, this is compatible with one of those). Overall, very satisfied.

When I first got it, it was missing one key. Product lags and is annoyingly loud. The light up function stopped working correctly after a few weeks. It has just been sitting in a junk pile. Would not recommend buying this.

After using my son's Corsair gaming keyboard for a few years I thought it was time I got my own mechanical keyboard for my office. The tactile feel of the keys and the satisfying clicking makes me feel super productive and I hope to never have to go back to non-mechanical. The old fashioned typewriter keys and the ability to create a lightshow on my desk is just plain fun. It did have a short learning curve for my touch typing after using the Corsair, but I can happily say I'm back up to speed and loving this keyboard.
