Measure carefully
I am amending my first review from 1 star to 3 star, it would be higher but we had to purchase longer screws. The hull of our kayak was thin enough that it should have taken the smaller screws that came with this cleat (see below review) Customer service was great with this company an they refunded our money but we had to purchase their longer screws to get the clear to hold, so buyer beware that you may have to get additional followed seller/manufacture instructions, drilled 2, 10mm holes, inserted the anchors supplied by manufacturer, as I put supplied screws in, anchors pulled right out.I now have 2 10mm holes in my sit on top kayak! UNSATISFACTORY.I need to have holes repaired now.

Easy install!
Very easy to install. It came with well nuts which is awesome (more companies need to do this!).

Installed this in conjunction with my anchor trolley, and it works perfectly. It was a little more expensive than other zigzag cleats on the market, but it also came with all the stainless steel hardware to mount it, so that worked out to about average price anyway. I'll soon be buying another to mount with a trolley on the other side, too!

Strong attachment for new kayak.
This is great, new kayak, did not want to drill holes, but the well nuts that came with it, made for secure attachment.I have no problem using well nuts, because I know they will hold and seal the holes.

Soes what it’s supposed to do for a budget price
Fast shipping .Itwas just as described with great holding strengthBut if I had it to do over I would go with meral over plastic and something with a back plare for peace of mind

Good for me
Works fine on my Hobie. It is what it says, and works fine for my purposes. You shouldn’t put too much strain if only using the wellnuts provided; I also used marine Goop when installing mine.

Tornado proof !!!
Drilled out for next size up screw and used 3/8 rope. Tornado came through lake and everything is great!

Great Anchor tie off device.
Works very well as a tie of point for my kayak anchor line. No knots required to hold the line in place. Mounts nicely on the side of my fishing kayak. Quick and easy tie off and on!
