Had a wood pecker destroying my garage put these owls up and haven't seen the little bastard in a week!

I put all three owls up yesterday morning on the ...
I put all three owls up yesterday morning on the dock/side of our boat. The bells of the first owl were gone within an hour. The bells of the second owl were gone within 90 minutes. Both of those sets of bells are in the canal!. The third set of bells was gone by lunchtime and landed on the dock. We'll see how the rest of the reflective owl holds up and if they help repel the birds, but a bit disappointing. Winds were 10-15MPH.

Solved Our Dove Problem
We had a severe infestation of morning doves this summer because of neighborhood demolition/construction. These guys did the trick....we were being buried alive in bird poop. They need to be moved every week to be most effective. I removed the bells because of nearby neighbors and my need to sleep on windy nights (easy to remove). One broke apart in a windstorm due to repeated banging on a fence post...my bad. Highly recommended.

Did not work
This product might work at other locations or with different type of birds. It did not work for us. We have a Tiki Hut where we have been having problems with doves nesting. After the doves were gone, we cleaned the area and install the fake owls near by. The doves came back and built another nest!! Completely unaffraid by the devices. I will try something different.

Waste of time and money
Southwest birds must be smarter because they just laughed at these owls and kept on eating. All the reviews had me thinking these would work. Returned them to Amazon and bought the co-z owl decoy with flashing eyes. Haven't seen a bird since!

Not high quality!
Bells fell off in the package before it arrived and the eyes are already peeling up and falling off due to poor adhesive. Would not recommend and will NOT buy again.

worked great for me to keep city pigeons off window sills ...
worked great for me to keep city pigeons off window sills and building ledge. You need to make sure you attach them securely since the wind does affect them a lot. I believe the movement caused by the wind and the sound of the bells greatly increase its effectiveness.
