Just the job
Just perfect for whipping up a storm in the kitchen. I am a regular cake maker, not only for my own family but for friends too. This mixer is in regular use at least three times a week for cake mixtures, biscuits, meringues, cream and batters. The speed selection is easy to use and varies to accommodate all kinds of mixes. The blade eject button is a little stiff at first but gets easier with use. Takes up little space in the cupboard and is extremely efficient. I would recommend this product wholeheartedly.

Well made and powerful
I bought this to replace an old one that packed up and the difference in power is really noticeable, the unit is well made with easy controls and I feel good value for money, there any many cheaper units for sale but very few are as powerful as this one!

Bought this to replace my Mum's old one that she bought in the 70's.. Nuff said :)
This is a great mixer with sturdy build quality from a well known brand, bought this to replace my Mum's old one that she bought in the 70's.. Nuff said :)I do agree though that the button to remove the beaters is a little stiff, & as it's just presing in the motor switch in make sure u switch off the power when doing this incase you accidentally turn it on in the process & bust ur fingers lol

An excellent strong handmixer.
Excellent . Bought one of these 39 years ago and it has only just started to die! The new one is identical. It is just as sturdy and robust.

Has a design flaw
Great little machine, does cake mixing and egg/batter & cream whipping really well. Wouldn't use it for heavy dough mixing as the motor might strain, but I didn't buy it for that anyway. It has one HUGE drawback... the power cable exits the body of the machine at the back in a way that means it's difficult to set the machine on its end when you finish mixing. This is very irritating, as the cable causes the machine not to stand up but to fall forward and the beaters and any batter on them then falls onto the counter. This is a design flaw. Kenwood should and could easily fix this.

Does what it says on the box
As above. Prompt delivery. Does the job. The beaters are the same as the previous model I had, so now I have two sets of beaters - useful if you have lots to do and no time to wash them in between tasks.

THIS IS A BETTER PRODUCT BUT FIND THE BUTTON TO PUSH BLADES OUT ...
I BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE A SIMILAR ITEM MADE BY KENWOOD. THIS IS A BETTER PRODUCT BUT FIND THE BUTTON TO PUSH BLADES OUT IS VERY STIFF BUT HAVING SAID THAT IT WORKS REALLY WELL.

Good, but not liked they used to be.
Better than the other cheaper model, but the beaters are very difficult to release. So disappointed that the Kenwood hand mixer is not what it used to be, however, saying that, I will be keeping this model as this is the only thing wrong with it and it beats many of the others on the market. Out of the two Kenwood mixers, this is the best one as it is far more comfortable to hold, and the speed switch is far superior than the other model.
