Atacama Nexus 5i Speaker Stands Pair 500mm Black

These comments apply to the 50cm version. They are well made and finished and lookthe part. Don't expect miracles with heavy standmounted speakers, they will rock slightly on the pillars.Not on the floor spikes but on the actual uprights where they join the base. This is inevitable given thethickness of the base material. If a heavy speaker is used (say over 10Kg) then a product further up theAtacama range will be required with a more solid base. I am sure they would be fine with a lighter loudspeaker,and are great for the asking price. The stick on Atacama labels are a bit of an afterthought and were all curled up and wouldn't stick. I would therefore recommend for speakers under 10 Kg - which to be fair is the majority ofstandmounters. They are very easy to assemble and well packaged.

Being somewhat old - school up until recently I had still been using an amp and speaker set-up. A pair of Celestion floor mounted speakers which never quite sounded like they did in the shop.Due to limited space and the fact that everyone else just wanted to listen to music rather than faff I bought a Sonos Connect Amp. With it's limited EQ for me the Sonos was worse. The Celestions went when my lad moved out and I dug out an old pair of B&W shelf type speakers Better, but still not right.We'd had a pair of speaker stands years ago and I remember thinking the sound we had then was really good, many hours trolling through product reviews and went with these as a sort of toe dipping exercise.Wow is all I can say! Next day delivery, well packed, simple to put together, really sturdy……….and the B&Ws had never sounded so good, even through the Sonos. Crystal clear and even the limited EQ was no longer an issue. Haven't bothered to fill them with sand or the expensive grain things.Really? I would never have believed the difference these things have made to my musical enjoyment.

Stands look very nice and are very easy to assemble. These were bought for functionality rather than trying to improve the sound of my speakers. My speakers used to sit on some sturdy oak cd racks which were too tall for where we had them placed. I have not noticed any difference in sound quality between the old set up and the Nexus 5i. Speakers are Kef Q350 connected to Bluesound Powernode 2i. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Just brilliant with an old pair of mission 753”s I have in my man cave I needed them 50cms higher to match the position of my screenthe 753’s are actually floor standers but I have removed the mission lower plinths from them and attached the stands directly to the speakers with the same screws that held the plinths on just had to drill the top plates on the stands to suit but no problem with a hss drill.it has enhanced them sonically and had made the stereo soundstage more focused as well good price as well from amazon win win been looking for some good 50cm stands for a while 👍

Solid, well-built, aesthetically pleasing. Good price. I previously had my speakers on a shelf and on top of an old guitar amp. My set up now looks like I take listening to music seriously. And, yes, they do make your speakers sound better. Don't waste money on Atabites. Get a £1.99 bag of sand instead. Then spend the money you've saved on something nice to drink while you listen to your new, improved hi-fi.

Good stands at a reasonable price. I would have preferred allan screws rather than the cross head variety as I feel that they offer better scope for secure tightening and overall rigidity however.

They are good but if you are picky like me for the quality and the depth of the sound and the bass you really need to look at Atacama hms 1.1 series as the columns are much ticker and a provide a better base for my ProAc Tablette speakers. The sound is deeper, bass is much more articulate.

Very stylish, very stable, well-constructed. Combined with the Atacama Atabites, have brought out the bass in my Monitor Audio Bronze 2s a treat. Delivered promptly as well. Very pleased, thoroughly recommend !
