Very effective, no messing around, just straight into it and many of the exercises are working multiple muscle groups so you get more bang for your buck as our American friends say.Warning though: this is not suitable for people who don't know how to do the exercises safely as there is very little instruction on form.

Really effective
Owned this for about 4 months now and have used it regularly. My main form of exercise is cycling and I would say that although I am in my 50s I am pretty fit - I can cycle 100 miles in a day and use a turbo trainer. Although I did a lot of cycle training, I realised that isn't really a full work out for the rest of the body. So I got the DVD and have really noticed a positive change. I have greater upper body strength, stronger core and (although people would say I already looked slim) I have toned up the annoying back waist area. The DVD is set out so that you can pick and choose how many of the sections you do, with each section concentrating on a particular area. I do the whole thing, one after another, which is challenging and gives a real work out, and I'm certainly very out of breath by the end of the cardio section. I discovered it was better to leave out the Pilates based session and do that at the end before cool down as it's a bit more gentle. Caroline doesn't leave much time moving from one exercise movement to the next, which is good once you know what's coming but meant that at first I had to stop the DVD to get into position. At first I also had to stop to catch my breath but I have improved enough now to keep up (though I wouldn't claim to do it all up to Caroline's speed eg the burpees!) I would say that the DVD is excellent for someone wanting a pretty tough work out who has had some instruction in how to do the moves before. Caroline doesn't give any instructions on what she means by 'good form' or precisely how to do the exercises, which is great if you know what you are doing as otherwise it gets very tedious on repeated viewings and slows the session. But you do really have to know to an extent how to do for example Pilates stance or where to place your body to get the full benefit of the DVD. In summary, an excellent investment for the experienced exerciser.

My all time favourite work out!
I have been working out at home, five mornings a week for the last thirty years and have used so many different DVDs. This has to be one of my all time favourites. You can choose out of the six 9-11 minute options to suit your available time for the day and with the warm up and cool down time added in, you can exercise for a half hour or more and feel like you've had a great work out. Caroline targets every part of you in this work out and I love it! Caroline's warm ups are the best and the cool downs better than any other I have as she holds the stretches for long enough for the muscles to remember and you just don't ache afterwards. Buy it!

Brilliant all round DVD for those looking for a new challenge
I have quite a few fitness DVDs and already own Caroline's Cardio Burn one. I love this new DVD. As described, the DVD is divided into small workouts, so you can pick and choose how you want to workout. The cardio burn is brilliant, thirty seconds of intense activity then a fifteen second rest. The other sections are good and Caroline gives running commentary on good technique which is useful. The music isn't the best, but that doesn't bother me. Caroline's figure is amazing and very motivational. This DVD may not be ideal for first time exercisers, or those who haven't worked out in a long time but is brilliant for those familiar with fitness. It is a welcome addition to my collection, and will be used regularly.:)

one of the better CD's no stupid silly comments from the commentator like many other CD's i think they forget that you have to listen to the CD to do the exercise and silly comments get very hard to listen to over time, just instructions on how to do the exercise bliss.A good variety of individual exercises to suit everyone and as long or as short as you want as each set last ten mins
