I am new to needing this type of product. This product is nicely fragrant, and as far as I can tell, my Dwarf Hamster seems fine with it.

The bag came very flat and small, so I was surprised by that. For the price though, it's decent.As soon as I sprinkled some of this bedding on my pets cage floor, they ran up and were so curious, they started digging around and were immediately energized (by the curiosity).It does smell great, and it may even help keep the cage fresh because I did notice, that the smell was lighter than before. Not sure if it's in my head or not, but I did notice something positive.I'd recommend this.

I like to use natural plant materials in my Roborovski hamster's habitat. Dried flowers, plants, and herbs encourage my little pet to forage and explore her living space. In this packet of natural bedding material, I received dried stems, flower petals, and leaves that came in a vacuum-sealed pouch. When I opened the package, I detected the natural fragrance of tea leaves. The dried plant material is earthy in color and appears not to have been dyed. Immediately after cleaning my hamster's home, I sparsely distributed half of the package on top of and under the paper bedding I normally use throughout her habitat. When I returned her to her cage, she quickly busied herself with investigating and nibbling the new materials. Since using this bedding material, she seems to be doing less scent marking, and this is a good thing because her scent is quite pungent. I am uncertain as to the reason for her behavioral change. Perhaps the natural scent of this bedding is less offensive to her than the distinctively floral scented bedding I usually use in her home, making her feel less driven to mask the new scent with her own stink. My nose is enjoying a break from her odor.If you opt to purchase this natural bedding product, please keep in mind that you will receive 5 ounces. You will have enough plant material to either mix with or scatter on top of your pocket pet's primary bedding. For your reference, a 5-ounce bag gives me enough for two applications in a tank with a floor space of 24" x 18" and a burrowing depth of more than 6".

for the little guy. I use Aspen shavings for my Robo - they don’t have much scent. So it’s nice to add this product with jasmine flowers and green tea stems. It smells really good. I used about 1 cup and mixed it in well with the shavings. The little guy is not much of a talker so I can’t say if he enjoys it but he seems happy. Of course Robos aren’t very smelly but at least I can be sure there’s no odor coming from his pen at all. This stuff definitely smells different from your typical paper-based bedding for your small pet hamster cage. I change the bedding once a week for my hamsters and finally got around to trying this stuff a little at a time. I sprinkled a little on the top floor of one of the cages and when I put my hamster back in after cleaning the rest of the cage, he got obsessed with the smell of this tea bedding.As for me, it definitely makes the cage smell super fresh. Combine a little of this stuff either sprinkled at the top, bottom, or mixed in a few areas around the cage does a lot for the overall cage smell and look. The color of this tea bedding gives a more natural appearance for the hamsters and mine really like it. I definitely will be getting more when I run out.

I liked everything about this, it actually made my guinea pigs bedding smells so much better, I spread it all throughout his cage, and he actually brought it in to his nest area. But this is a very small bag, and for the price I would expect more so that’s why it lost a star. Otherwise I really enjoy it.
