The rest works fine.
Capacitors should be properly insulated cause after some time due to the atmospheric charges accumulated on the capacitor there's high output even if there's no obstacle ! Also the potentiometer's accuracy is affected by it i.e. to say that the reference voltage gets changed by itself . Fix this up . The rest works fine .

Out of 2, one was broken beyond repair.
Recieved a damaged product. Doesn't seem like anything can be done with it.

Product is the worst. Soldering and PCB are.of.bad.quality and ic is not solder ed on a base. Doesnt work completely fakeDirectly went to dustbin. I would have given 0 stars if i could didnt expect from sillicon technolabs

It was not exactly the same as in the picture, but it works good.

Good choice for Proxy
I received 2 IR proxymity sensors both in working condition but for one sensor there was IC missing on that IC base. The range for these sensors is very nice. Generally it will detect object till 15 cm but if proper adjusted it can be extended to 45 cm. Still its good choice for proxy.
