A fine budget monitor
I got this monitor as a secondary monitor, and I'd say that's about where a monitor of this quality belongs. The pictures is okay, and the brightness is okay. It's unfair to compare it to my $400 4k monitor, but when it sits right next to it, the comparison is inevitable. But like I said, it serves it's purpose as an additional window for when I'm working and need a lot of info up at the same time. For those having issues with sound, the fix is super easy on Windows. After you install the monitor, click the little speaker icon in the lower right-hand side and change it back to your primary speakers, probably the first listed device. If you want to go further, you can type 'device manager' in the Windows bar, go to the audio settings, right-click on the 'LG' item, and disable it. This only disables the sound for the monitor, not the entire device.

works
im p sure i bought this like. 4 years ago or something as a second monitor. took it out of the box very recently and it still works like new. clear picture, easy to plug in....a normal mid-sized monitor.

A clear and sharp picture
Given that I was using a 15 year old e-machine monitor previously, this monitor is awesome in clarity and aspect ration. There was a slight learning curve to the single button control (that you press and pivot for commands/selection). The plug in speaker option works for my old speakers though there is no advantage to it in terms of audio tweaking. The brightness is disappointing. I have it up to 95% to try to recapture what the old e-machine illumination.

Beautiful monitor.
For 90$ this is probably the best value and looking monitor for this price. My main monitor (380$) is also an LG and it''s 1440p,144hz, IPS, and this cheap 90$ monitor looks almost as good. Seriously a couple of tweaking in the settings and this monitor looks gorgeous.Out of the box it looked great, but for the best settings: put up the sharpness to 80, brightness to 100, and make sure to change to 75hz refresh rate. You might be confused on how to get to 75hz because it doesn't show up in NVIDIA control panel. In order to change the refresh rate to 75hz you have to right click on the desktop, go to display settings, then advanced display settings, then display adapter properties for display (1 or 2), then click the monitor tab and you can only change it there.Absolutely worth the money.

Great picture, & great I can get The Sound out of it, unlike the last monitor I had
It's a great monitor... there may be no speakers built in, but significantly, it has on the back, a Sound Out (3.5mm for headphones, or hook it to a stereo- with a cable- 1 end 3.5, the other end, RCA's- right & left [red & white]). Or just get a Logitech stereo system, and plug the 3.5mm wire & jack to this (I got mine- with an HDMI cable from the PC to this) long story. But, doing it that way, I would not use the VGA/D-Sub input; the VGA cable can only transmit Video, with no Sound; though there is ways to get sound using VGA, thru a PC, with a 3.5mm cable; I've done the past 15 years. The VGA (Video Graphics Array) port is being phased out...

Impressive picture and easy to set up.
I bought this monitor to replace an older LG monitor I had for home use, I'm impressed on how clearer and brighter it is.
