They're holding up so far...
My father had me order these for our front steps. A few years ago, someone talked my father into letting their company (which is no longer in business) put decorative tiles on our house's cement front stairs. Bad idea and bad decision. This has made the stairs slippery even on a dry summer day. We've placed thick rubber mats on the stairs, and while that eliminates slipping on the stairs in dry/warm conditions, wet and cold conditions are still an issue; If any moisture gets under the mats, they'll slide if weight having momentum is placed on them. If the moisture under the mats freezes, the problem gets exponentially worse. These brackets are being employed to help with this. One of these brackets was mounted at the corner of each mat, so the brackets' sides hold the mats in place. So far, the brackets have held the mats stationary in both cold, wet fall days and frigid winter days, and that's even with my hefty frame bounding up and down the stairs. Both parents and I are satisfied with these brackets' performance.Since these brackets are stainless steel, we hope that they'll last a long time against the elements and the times we have to sprinkle ice melt on the stairs. My father and I have determined that if the brackets and mounting hardware last long enough that the tile on the stairs ages enough to be removed without too much force, then the duration that these lasted will be satisfactory. So far, the brackets are looking good in this regard! So having said that, I can gladly recommend these to someone that needs them. I suspect these aren't intended for a use like ours, but since they're holding up so well to the elements and corrosive ice melt, then they'd hold up extremely well in less harsh conditions.

Good ladder step braces
Used these for bracing steps in home built wooden ladder. Helped to stiffen and keep ladder from racking. I put Gorilla glue on ends before screwing them in place.

Stainless
Others have noted what a pain it is to remove the blue plastic protective film and I agree, very tedious!!! Otherwise these a small angle supports that claim to be stainless (can't prove it or disprove it my me) the edges are NOT well finished so there is a burr all around as it comes out of the stamping machine. I think I will have to wire brush or abrasive grit buff the edges to smooth them, The rating of 3 reflects those sharp edges.

These are amazing corner brackets. Used them to build a microwave cabinet. Unbelievably strong!
