Good book and many songs! Learn as beginner

This is a good book for banjo! I'm an intermediate player, but I've been stuck on old to time bluegrass for a while and wanted to get back to claw hammer and different songs. This book has simple tabs, but they get me started and I can add more notes. The large page size makes the tabs easy to read. Nice variety of tunes in different genres. Extra credit for having the lyrics above the tab. Also, the book has songs in 4 different tunings and shows chord fingering. I've stars for sure!

The book is very well done and covers both clawhammer and bluegrass but why is the print so light that it is difficult to read. Print darker is that so hard.

Not a big fan of this book as compared to different beginner books. In my opinion, the arrangement of the melody (for most of the three finger bajo songs) is a bit heavy for beginners. There really should be video accompaniments given the amount of hammering, sliding, and pull offs. Additionally, there are quite a few songs that have double thumb arrangements and I cant identify with that. I’m learning the melodies without the hammers/slides/ pull offs at first….then adding them in later. In closing, the melodies just aren't clicking.

Exactly what I was hoping for. It can be hard to find good banjo tabs online and this is great.

Very happy with this purchase. Everything as expected.

Being an old fart there is a good few tunes I was familiar with and able to follow the ones I wasn't after listening to them on YouTube.Novice to the banjo but played guitar.Used the chords given on familiar and worked well with finger rolls I learned so tunes were recognisable and able to grasp chord changes/finger placement etc.Now learning "foggy mountain breakdown" which is a tune that's in just about every movie chase scene where the banjo is used.(knew the tune just never knew what it was called)Progress really slow but clear notation and what finger to pick with makes it a possibility.Great value and a big help getting on my banjo odyssey.

Great songs in this book . Opens up more styles of playing.

I’ve been playing banjo for a couple of years now. This book has some great songs but is challenging for intermediate players.
