Skinz Bike Protector
I just recently purchased this item and have only had one chance to use it.I was easy enough to place on the bike, however the way it straps and attaches to cover the front fork is not ideal with my bike rack. I have a Thule setup I purchase with my VW from the dealer and it's not the same set up as shown in the photograph, but workable. The instructions say to strap things down tightly but if you have a smaller bike it's impossible to do so but it stayed on traveling at 70mph and I was very pleased to not find and bugs or debris on the bike when the cover was removed.I would most definitey recommend this item to anyone with roof racks.

Negative reviews are right
Just like other reviews, this thing ripped within 200 miles of use, it wasn’t even the front, but the top tube securing strap. Additionally it sucked up about 3 MPG whereas some simple plastic wrap with tape was just as effective and didn’t change MPG whatsoever. This needs to be more streamlined and have a more robust rigging system if I’m ever going to purchase again.

Fits well. Good Material. Note "aero" distinction.
I may have read the description a little quickly, but I thought when they said "aero" they meant is was aerodynamic. They dont. They mean is has extra material if you have AERO bars on your bike. So if you have a tri-bike with aero bars, 5 stars. If you have a bike without aero bars, like I do, then you have this stupid extra flap of material. I make do with it by tucking it back inside towards the bike, and you cant tell unless you get about a foot away, but do note: this is a five star item for bikes with AERO BARS.Description could have been a little better, but Im really happy with the design and construction.

They do a great job protecting my bike but with lots of highway ...
I've had 5 of these, which indicates to a certain degree their life expectancy. They do a great job protecting my bike but with lots of highway mileage they eventually breakdown.

Triathlon Aero handlebars fit perfectly with above the car bike protector
Works just like I hoped. I have a size 58, QR PR6 pretty much maxed out for my tall size. This fits snugly but I have no issue putting it on. So far I've used it 4 times and no problems. However, I do take proactive step when I'm hitting the highway. I throw a dish towel over the aero bars to provide a little bit of protection for the cover to minimize any friction rub spots. It's a tiny added protection investment the protects both the cover from sharp edges on my bike and my bike from bouncing rocks that the thin membrane of the protector cant stop. It takes zero effort for this extra step because I leave the towel in my trunk.

Complete waste of your money DON'T BUY!!!!
Don't waste your time or money. Used it for the first time after purchase and it tore near the saddle area only after 100 miles on the road. Sent the item back to the manufacture for the warranty and they tried to blame me with how it was installed. Even when I sent them a picture of how I had it covered on my bike for the trip (which looked exactly the same as their marketing picture), they went radio silent on me and stop returning my calls.Poor product from a poor company.

does the job.
keeps bugs off during long exposed rides. the velcro is strong enough. it's just not going to be a perfect fit for every different bike. i like it though.

Excellent
Saw some gripey reviews... who are you? These protectors are inexpensive and keep rocks, bug guts, and road grease from screwing-up your expensive rig. It goes on quickly, cleans easily in the wash (be 100% sure to secure the "hard" velcro to avoid damage and pilling) and packs into its own, included, sack. BOMB.
