Cranial Osteopathy: A Practical Textbook

The Best Cranial Book
Cranial and Craniosacral Therapy is very effective for a multitude of conditions. However, most of the books on the subject are unscientific and make outrageous claims about its benefits. This book provides a wide range of techniques and information without resorting to claims to excite the "it's all quackery" crowd. I have both editions but the newest is the one to get.

Comprehensive textbook on cranial work
Liem's book is a comprehensive book. He exposes readers to both biomechanical and biodynamic paradigms. There are many practical palapation exercises. In particular he translates biodynamic concepts like the Fluid Body in very tangible ways. Of interest is a huge section on the sutures, section highlighting each cranial bone with its embryological development. You get the feel that Liem has learned as much as possible about the entire breadth of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field. His text is grounded in the work of the elders of OCF: Still, Sutherland, the Beckers, Fryman, Fulford, Wales, Jealous, Upledger, and many others. Lots of illustrations, lots of handholds, and technique photos, lots of theory, lots of anatomy. Comprehensive and worthwhile to anyone who is a student of Primary Respiration.
