Good look, small diameter cables only.
Only for small diameter cables. Not greater than 1/4" diameter wire or the wrap-around ends don't hold completely. Of course, these labels will not stay on if you pull the cables through a wall or a bundle of cables. Use a rolling ball-point pen, not a gel tip or Sharpie pen to label I used an extra-fine .5mm. They look professional, easy to read.

An organizational must have
Just what the husband wanted! My husband loves these. He organized all his cords in the office around all the tv’s. The colors make it easy to color code and it’s great to have a space to label them. We used a sharpie. They work well and are inexpensive.

Good value product but could be better
Pros- Sleek and out of the way- Doesn't appear to fall off easily- Reusable (alcohol wipes seem to work well to remove the marker)- Color coding is helpful- Comes with more than you'll likely needCons- Strong chemical smell when first opening box- Some of the colors have different textures than other (more rubbery) and makes it harder to write on- The darker colors are harder to read (if you use a dark marker)- Not sure how good they'd be long term- Needs a good permanent marker- Just a little too shortEntire Dimension: 2.5" (L) x 0.5" (H) (about 2mm or 0.0625" thick)Writing Surface: 1.5" (L) x 0.5" (H)For the average user, these cable tags are great and are an excellent choice. They are relatively easy to put on and seem like they'd stay on pretty well. Tugging on it doesn't force it loose, though I'd be concern with how tight they'd stay over a longer period of time. That's why I'd recommend them for people who aren't constantly moving their cables or have too many cables. As others have noted, the darker colors (especially the blue) are harder to read when using a dark marker. In the pictures I uploaded, the closer shot is about 3 in from the tag and the farther one is about 10 in away. It's a bit difficult to read at a glance. Some have suggested using a gel pen but I didn't have any prior to buying these and didn't want to buy a gel pen just for these tags.I originally used a cheap thin marker to make it easier to write on but that faded and smudged really easily so you have to use a good permanent marker with these. Also, maybe it was my imagination but the magenta colored tags felt more rubbery than the other ones, making it more likely to smudge and a little harder to write.Lastly, they're not very big which can be either a pro or con honestly. But it doesn't leave a lot of space to write if you struggle writing small, especially if your marker is large as well. I had to abbreviate a lot to try to fit the words on the tags.Overall though, if you want to be able to sort your cables and don't like the sticker type tags, these are a great purchase, especially for the price ($8.99 when I purchased them).

Does the job
These are great little labels, I use regular black permanent marker and they don't seem to rub off even. The little curls hold onto the cables nicely. Overall they do exactly what I was hoping for and they do so at a reasonable price.

Indoor use is great. Outdoor use in a shed, not so much
They work just fine as far as staying in place on the cords I've put them on. And if I'm not handling them my hand written labels last okay. One of my uses was for labeling my spare chainsaw chains in the shed. I use a real Sharpie brand black marker to write "SHARP" on a couple green tags and I wrote "DULL" on a couple red tags. This was to help me know which chains had been sharpened and which ones hadn't. But those hand written markings smeared and couldn't be read after removing and re-attaching each one just a few times, even when written with a real Sharpie.

Great idea
Very helpful that they come in multiple colors. In the past I have had to deal with a nest of black cords, destination unknown. Now I can put these the length of the cord all the way to the plug. Now it’s easy to tell the mass of cables apart.
