Prism effect is okay. The observed rainbow is minimal. This was more fun for making a light show with different colored lights.

Don’t bother ordering this product if you need quality optics
Original item packaging was damaged upon arrival. It was double boxed, and the outer box was not damaged at all. Upon inspection of the prism, there were many optical imperfections throughout the inner glass. Almost wave looking lines. These lines were inside of the glass, not on the surface. I had purchased this to do some experiments with light, but with these optical imperfections, I am unable to successfully do them. I will be returning and not getting a replacement.
