very disappointing
The best thing I can say about this hood is that it does fit on the camera via a bayonet mount. Unfortunately, it is very flimsy, poorly made and poorly designed. I have a Fuji S9000 with the original hood. I bought this hood because I just bought an HS30 used, which was missing the hood. This hood is by no means equivalent to the genuine article.First off, the lobes are much shorter than those on the Fuji, so they'll stop only the most oblique light. This is more like a sacrificial lens guard than a functional lens hood. The lobes have rough, almost sharp edges, needing sanding down to keep them from being a hazard to your skin.In contrast, the OEM (genuine Fuji) hood is substantial, well finished and it has ribs on the inner surfaces of the lobes which keep light from reflecting off of inside surfaces of the hood into the lens. Now that's thoughtful design!I think this is probably worth $2.99 as a lens rim guard, but at $14.99 it's a rip-off. The only reason I'm not returning it is that I haven't been able to find another hood that has the bayonet mount. At least this one doesn't preclude the use of a filter, and it is better than nothing. I just resent laying out $15 for "better than nothing". If you never plan to use a filter, you might consider one of the screw-on hoods, which are much less expensive.

Perfect fit for HS25EXR
Title just about says it all. This is a bayonet style hood which means it attaches to the lens just like the OEM part. This is important because it also allows the simultaneous use of a threaded 58mm filter to protect the lens from dirt. Another benefit of not using the filter thread is this hood sits in the correct position so it does not intrude into the image when the focal length is set to 24mm. If you are put off by the printing on the hood (not an issue for me) it can be mounted upside down and the functionality will be identical. When not in use the hood may be mounted backwards to save space, it just won't lock in place. The fit, finish and quality of this product are just fine. No way the OEM part is worth 3 to 4 times the price, that is assuming you can even find one. BTW, very happy with my HS25EXR which I also purchased here.

Got it for the Fujifilm hs 20... ...
Got it for the Fujifilm hs 20... you have to force it on the lens effect... doesn't screw in correctly

Three Stars
It does not fit as well as the original, which makes getting the lens cap on a difficult struggle.

Great lens hood for your Finepix HS10-HS11
I was not really sure to buy this product because I thought it wouldn't fit in my Finepix HS10. I've been looking for accesories for my camera and it has not been easy. Anyway, I bought this lens and it works perfectly! It really fits my camera well! So, don't be afraid of buying this if what you want is a good accesory for your HS10.

Just what was needed...
I installed this on my Fuji HS-10 with my new lens filter and had no problem. It does NOT show up on edges when in wide angle at all. I recommend it to any and all with a Fuji HS-10 or HS-20 camera. It may fit othe 58 mm cameras but I don't know

Cheap, thin plastic that didn't fit the camera anyway although the ad said it would.
Simply, look elsewhere for something with better quality. Even thought the ad stated it would fit my Fuji Finepix HS20EXR, it would not. I own four other Canon cameras so have some experience with lens hoods. This is definitely something I wouldn't recommend.
