Works well on the .357 magnum Tracker
Although the description of this product indicates it is for the .22 and .17 Taurus revolvers, after reading several reviews from others who installed it on the .357 magnum Tracker, I ordered it and installed it myself. I am pleased to say it fits and works very well on the Taurus 627, .357 magnum Tracker. There are several YouTube videos which will help in the removal of the rear sight, and the installation after that is straightforward and simple. Be sure to follow the instructions regarding the use of blue Loctite and especially the installation of the forward stabilizing screw on the mount. If the stabilizing screw is over tightened it will be next to impossible to adjust the elevation on the optic—you’ll not be able to move the point of impact low enough to match the point of aim.I have mounted a Bushell TRS-25 red dot optic on my Taurus 627 (6.5” barrel) and sighted it in at 25 yards. From a sandbag rest I achieved 1 1/2” groups with both hollow point target as well as Hornady XTP rounds. At 50 yards the point of impact was about 4” high for the same point of aim. I have put between 50 and 75 rounds through the revolver after installing the mount and have experienced no problems whatsoever. If you have the Taurus 627. .357 magnum, this would be a good inexpensive option if you want to mount an optic on your revolver.

Taurus scope mount
Only problem I had was that the center piece on the underside where it slides into the slot of the rear sight, was too wide. So I had to take some off with a file from both sides equally. Until I had a snug fit. Other than that,I like it.It 's well made.,holes line up perfect and looks good too. Rick Laureles

Easy to install alternative for the Taurus 922
I recently acquired a Taurus 922 10 round revolver that shoots both 22 WMR and 22 LR. The adjustable open sights are adequate but I wanted a little bit more precision with red dot sights. Availability for Taurus revolver accessories are pretty slim. The Taurus factory had some mounts on backorder with an indeterminate date.Luckily, I found this set on Amazon. Using a set of Gunsmith tools, I removed the rear adjustable factory sight. Using LokTite Blue Threadlocker, I attached the screw to the top of the frame/pre-drilled hole. I let it set for 24 hours and proceeded to mount a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot sight. The sight/mount are stable. No wiggle, even with 22 WMR. To test this out, I took the Taurus 922 out on a few occassions. It still held zero with the 22 LR, which is what I predominately use in this particular platform. In double action, I was able to hit a golf ball, free handed at 25 YARDS. I thought I could only accomplish that with my Ruger Mark II Target Competition with a Volquartsen trigger group. I was impressed. If you're looking for an alternative method of sights for your Taurus, then look no further. This is it.

Nice but wrong application.
Keeping in mind if I get .17 or .22 model.

This rail fits fine on both revolvers
This product is much cheaper than the one made by Taurus, and fits very well. I have a Taurus Tracker .357, and a .44 mag Raging Bull. This rail fits fine on both revolvers. The fit is very fight, and you have to be careful when removing the back sight (watch out for the pop up spring). But tight tolerance is good for scope mounts. I used it with low zone hand gun sights as well as reflex sights, and the mount stayed put even with kick from .44 mag.

Worth getting - I gave them a 2nd chance
Excellent fit, finish and much much better than the first generation version of this mount. Overall, the first version was not that great and I eventually removed it and went back to the original sight. I saw and read about this new version and decided to take a chance to get it and I was very pleased. Weigand did their homework and greatly improved the product and went with the 1913 pattern rail.
