Best toothpaste around. Been using it since I was a teenager and can't use anything else. For some reason, my main grocery stopped selling it. Went to another store and they didn't have it either! In the past twenty-five years I've only had two minor cavities filled in. Zero issues other than that at the dentist office. Flossing and mouth wash each help too though.If you're unfamiliar with "Mentadent" toothpaste you need to make sure you have the base that these refills go into. This isn't your typical "tube" of toothpaste. It comes in two parts that are both plastic housings - 1) The base that stands upright on your counter which holds, 2) the refill that slides into the base. Once the two are connected properly all you do is open the front cap and push down on the top. The two sides of "paste" should come out evenly onto your toothbrush. You may have to apply more pressure to one side if it's a new refill at the start to get them to flow out at the same time.Note: Never throw away the entire thing once it's empty and make sure to always remove the base housing from the upper portion! It's cheaper just to buy the refills once you own the base.

For some reason, haven't been able to find the multi packs of this in the stores I used to buy them at. I was thrilled when I saw these online at Amazon. The price was good and I really like the "stand up" dispenser of Mentadent. Lots less messy than a tube of toothpaste on the counter top. And, unlike a tube, you don't have to squeeze it to keep the toothpaste at the top. The dispenser does that for you. Easy to use, easy to refill and no mess. My daughter worked for a dentist some time back and he actually recommended Mentadent because of the ingredients in it.

I have been using this product for years. It mixes a paste and a gel by using a dispenser that pushes out the two parts onto your toothbrush. When you first start a new tube, there is a slight problem. Since the density of the paste and gel are not the same, for the first 2-3 applications you only get the paste product until the two mixtures balance out. The product is excellent and has a very pleasant taste. It is convenient and does not make a mess. I will continue using this toothpaste as long as it is available.

Great toothpaste. I was trying to find it in the store and it's pretty much discontinued everywhere. I ended up finding it at Walgreens for $5 and some change after tax for a 2 pack...so this option is much cheaper. I'm 20 now and probably have been using this for the past 6 years if not longer. Just pick yourself up a sonicare toothbrush too and your teeth will be in great shape.Just an fyi; I went to the dentist for the first time in 2 1/2 years for a cleaning and they told me my teeth were perfect - I was out of there in 20 minutes. Not sure if its the toothpaste or the brush but I have no reason to change anything...I'll be buying this as long as its not discontinued!

I like this toothpaste and I like the delivery system. Flip up the cap, hold the brush under and press down. Easy to do in the am and I never drop the cap or have to squeeze and roll a tube. Seems to do a decent job cleaning my teeth so overall I like this product and recommend it.

Years ago I found that Mentadent was the only toothpaste out of at least a dozen I had tried that didn't peel the inside of my mouth after use; my teeth also don't have the sensitivity that all other toothpastes cause. As I've seen on reviews here, Mentadent is getting impossible to find at stores. We've got a Safeway, Raley's and CVS Pharmacy near me and they just don't seem to carry it anymore. After getting dangerously low on the product, it occurred to me that I could try looking on line! After getting Mentadent in stores for years I had quite a collection of dispensers and finally recycled all but three, because that's all we use. I ordered my Mentadent yesterday and can't wait for it to come!

My go-to toothpaste for over 20 years.Almost every other brand toothpaste gives me a weird, disgusting film in my mouth not long after brushing. My dentist told me it was an allergic reaction to an ingredient and that I just needed to keep trying other brands until I find one that doesn't cause the gummy film. Mentadent, Tom's of Maine and Arm and Hammer all have no side effect, but I get the cleanest feeling mouth that lasts the longest with Mentadent over the others. It's getting more difficult to find. I hope it doesn't disappear!!!

I've been using this product close to 20 years. It is the ONLY toothpaste that does not leave a nasty, slimy film in my mouth. When Mentadent stopped becoming readily available at the stores and before Amazon became a part of my regular go-to spot for hard-to-find items, I was left with whatever was available and accessable. I've tried many natural toothpastes and all of the regular brands at the stores. Nothing works as good as Mentadent. I will be lost when this product is no longer available; I'd probably resort to making my own at that point.
