This is a genuine Mysore Sandalwood Soap from a 100 years old company. Infact we had visited it's factory near Bangalore in 1984. It used to have a shop inside where we could purchase all the products it manufactured.

The item is excellent, as expected, but I understood I was buying a 6-Pack, as advertised. It was intended as a present for a friend in Australia, so I was expecting an appropriate presentation pack. This brand of soap (in packs of three) used to come in nice boxes that I’ve used as gifts. What I got was six individual cakes of soap that I could have got at my local shop. The packaging of one of the cakes of soap was held together with sellotape and two had crushed cartons. Moreover the soap was overpriced. I was charged Rs 250 plus Rs 79.10 for delivery. The maximum retail price on each cake of soap is clearly marked at Rs 38, so six cakes come to Rs 228, not Rs 250. This extra cost, plus delivery charges, makes this an imprudent purchase. Save your money and buy from your local shop.

I bought this right after watching it’s manufacturing video on discovery channel .this soap actually smells good and its long lasting sandalwood fragrance keeps u refreshing thought the day although it causes dryness as u need thick moisturiser afterwards
