Product Description Gyokuro is one of 3 teas in our Sushi Tea Collection. This Japanese tea produces a dark-green cup with a strong vegetal quality and a slightly sweet flavour. Gyokuro leaves are grown under bamboo screens covered with straw so the leaves take all possible nutrients from the roots before being prepared like Sencha. Known as ‘jade dew’, the blend is richer, milder and much-prized. Founded in London in 2000, Newby has established itself as a supplier of the finest teas.
