I actually bought these motion sensor toilet lights as "funny" gifts around Christmas time. My friends later told me how much they liked them! I was also really surprised how much I liked the one I kept for me. I didn't really think I needed it, but it is great for middle of the night bathroom trips The light is bright enough to see but not so bright as to cause unwanted light in the bedroom. I don't have it in the toilet (yucky). I hung mine on the shower door bar and it lights my approach toward the bathroom at about 10 feet from the device. It stays on long enough and fades out after about 2 minutes of no movement. I bought 3 more for a cruise my family is taking. This should help in those dark cabins without waking anyone else. I also have one outside my back door, just to give enough light to do a quick task.They are still working 6 months later.So what I thought was a gag gift turned out to be a real gift!

I don’t like bright lights when I have to go to the restroom 1, 2, or three times every night. I don’t like to leave night lights on because they bother me when I sleep. So this is the ultimate product for me. As soon as I step into the bathroom, it flicks on and is a blue light that does not hurt my eyes when it comes on But it’s fried enough for me to see well. If my dog goes in the bathroom while I’m sleeping and it comes on, it doesn’t wake me or bother me. It also turns off fairly quickly. I have had company staying in my bedroom and use my bathroom and they have ordered themselves some for their homes.

Good lights, long battery life. I bought the "original" sharktank product and it was total garbage. These are what my GFs mom uses at her house and I should have went for these first. They actually stay on the bowl too. I ended up buying an LED lightbulb and programming low red light for nights so I don't use it anymore but gave 1 as a gift and have another to use on whatever. Happy with the purchase!

This toilet light is a nice product—theoretically. I like the concept. I like all the light color selections. It shines fairly brightly to help you see the toilet in the dark. It’s not hard to set the color to your choice if you want to lock on a single color. You have to wait for it to scroll through each color (it stays on each color for 8 seconds). When you see the color you want to lock on, just press the button while it’s displaying that color.BUT I got this because I have a special needs adult in my household and I need him to see better to, well, have better aim. This light hanging over the edge of the toilet is a target in and of itself. So it’s getting “hit” a lot—or at least it’s “arm” that hangs over the rim of the toilet does, and that “arm” has the light on the tip of it, pointing into the toilet. The problem is that the instructions say not to use harsh cleaning products on it. Well, then how am I going to get it clean?!? Also, since it and the “arm” that hangs over the rim of the toilet are plastic, they stain VERY quickly—with pretty much one good “hit”. So when you lift the toilet seat to do your business, you see this stained product which looks, well, dirty.Again, it’s a good product and it works well, it’s just not turning out to be practical in our house. I was able to remove one from the toilet, clean it, and hang it on the toilet paper holder to just be a motion detector light in the bathroom. In that case, the motion sensor still faces the door and so the motion detecting feature still works well. But in another bathroom in our house, the position of the toilet paper holder does not allow the motion sensor window to hang facing toward where someone would walk in the door. So I had to put that one up on the top of the toilet tank.I cannot envision using these for very long because of the practical use shortcomings.I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. At night, theres no need to turn on any lights, these are bright. The batteries last very long, easy to install, just bend the light strap over the toilet bowl. Batteries are not included

I first received this as a gift via Amazon so I'm reviewing my follow-on orders.I originally had low expectations of both the motion sensor and the light detection and I have to say, both far exceeded my expectations. The motion sensor is more accurate than much more expensive motion sensing lighting solutions sold at most home centers, same with the light level detection.I eventually decided to hang a couple of these the toilet bowl but for one of them, I hung it off the nearby toilet paper holder and it works just fine in the middle of the night.As time went on, I continue to be impressed by this item. It started blinking its red light which I thought might be a malfunction. Then I realized it had was powered by three AA batteries and all function returned to normal with a new set of batteries. And those batteries lasted a long time, a testament to the design of the internal electronics to be so frugal with its power consumption!

I bought these a few years ago and finally my last one stopped working so I decided to purchase more. Hopefully these last as long as my other ones did. I have purchased other brands; I was lucky if they lasted a few weeks.

I really like the IDEA of these lights. And they worked great - for about 6 months. But they are cheaply made, and the plastic-covered metal tabs that hold them onto the toilet bowl begin to break down over time. Three of ours don't hang onto the toilet any more. The lights still work, so we have placed them on the floor in the corner by the toilet. Where they come on every time someone walks into the bathroom at night. But it's not a very pretty look, and they're in the way whenever you sweep or mop. These would be better if you could stick them on the side of the tank or on the wall - the light would still work even if it didn't shine into the toilet bowl.

acheté pour rigoler un peu pour finir en acheter a ma famille. sans blague.. tres pratique la nuit, fonctionnent tres bien, detectent le moment comme il le faut, plusieurs couleurs dispo pour votre style de salle de bain, serieusement, 5 étoiiles pour un produit qu'au depart j'ai acheté pour rirefonctionnent depuis 7 mois sans aucun default detecté, luminosité adéquate, pas trop fort pour vous reveiller mais assez pour bien voir et pour pas que vous vous cognez la petite orteil!
