Prime on time
Delivered on time and not damaged. Works as advertised. Doesn't get any better than that.

Do not buy. Junk.
Very small debris compartment, entire space filled with filter system. Very low power on battery function, and very short run time with 2 new 5.0 batteries. Offensively cheap floor attachment for the price. No place for hose storage. No cord reel. Complete ripoff for 600+$ total junk, this tool is the last Makita tool I will buy, switching to a new brand after this experience.

This is a HEPA filtered vacuum that works well with a range of Makita portable tools.
I use this vacuum as a dust collector for Makita random orbital sanders, finish sanders and for a Makita compound miter saw. It works very well controlling dust from these tools.

Misleading
Does not have aws and the drywall sander does. Makes no sense at all. Should have just spent the money on the festool planex. Still isn't a good sander so ended up buying a festool planex 2

Compact, battery-powered dust extractor
This is a great package. I wanted a small, compact unit that I could store on the bottom shelf of my work cart, wheel out on the driveway, pop batteries in, and start working without having to position and plug in my larger shop vac. I bought the cordless/corded version so I have the option to plug in when I get into CNC and need a longer vacuum time than the batteries alone could provide. The vacuum itself is light, compact, and easily moveable. When using batteries, suction power is less, but when using the cord the suction power is rated higher than all but one of the vacs reviewed recently by "Fine Woodworking." Both levels are adequate to clear sawdust using my Makita tracksaw and Bosch 12v jigsaw. With both suction levels there's no difference in the minimal amount of dust remaining after a cut. I'm switching to dust extraction options for all my tools and have previously used my shop vac for dust extraction, even when working outside on my driveway. Healthier for me and nicer to work without needing to clear dust off me and my work. This Makita extractor is fantastic!

Cordless convenience with corded option
This is a really nice vacuum. You can use the cord or use two batteries. It’s saved me before if my batteries die. That’s why it’s priced higher than all other 36V vacuums.
