I read all three in two days. Well written with great characters. Twists and turns that you do not see coming. A very enjoyable read! I highly recommend this series and author! Each book ended with an HEA for that couple but the over all story arc carried on from book one to three. Read them you will not be disappointed! SQ Review: The Dark Dragon - This is the best book in the series and the last .I loved reading about the brave and loving Macinnes sisters .Heather is my favorite of the of the three, she finds goodness in everyone even the dark Dragon .The story Is fast paced and action filled with lots of battles and heartfelt moments. I had a hard time putting it down and was sad when it ended. I felt like I was saying goodbye to friends that I had grown to love .Donna Fletcher did a wonderful job with this series and I hope she finds it in her heart to bring back the Macinnes sisters in another one of her amazing books.

Good conclusion
A good ending to the series. I life that their personalities were consistent. Sometimes, when a protagonist it's introduced as a secondary character in a different book, they become putty for plot, and become cardboard copies. In this book, that isn't the case. It's better than the book with Patience, but then I found her annoying on all three books. I liked the first quite a bit, so would put them on par with each other. The plot is good, the sexual tension good, if a tad too contemporary in how it's written, so it seemed a bit out of place, but not too badly. As always, it is need of more editing. We have a few wrong words, orphaned quotes, commas a bit muffled, though didn't affect the meaning the sentence often, so not too big a deal. If you have enjoyed Donna Fletcher's other books, then I think you'll like this. If you like historical romance that is more fluff than historically accurate, then this is for you. It's a quick, fun read.

4.5 stars - the best in the series
Of the three books, I like this one the best. I thought Heather was a perfect heroine she was brave but not stupid, accepting but not a doormat, loving but not desperate. Rhys/Dragon was a bit harder to like for reasons I can't explain without spoilers. He was gruff and demanding. But he really loves Heather - even if he doesn't realize it right away. This book provides closure to the storylines that started in the first two books and has numerous appearances from Heather's family. The writing in this book was more like what I expect from Ms. Fletcher. It flowed well and held my interest from the first page to the last. The love scenes were steamy and never felt "thrown in". The action and drama were well done without being unbelievable. All in all - I felt this was the best book in the series and would recommend it. The only reason I didn't give it a solid 5 star was because I had a hard time believing that Heather wouldn't know who Rhys really was - she knew his uncle and couldn't immediately put two + two together? That is just a personal peeve and has no bearing on the story.

3rd Book in a Series That Got Better and Better and Finishes at it's BEST!
EASILY the best of the three books in the Macinnes sisters trilogy. And that's saying A LOT because I loved the other 2 books as well. The whole series got progressively better with each installment and this one just blew me away. I had feared that the bar was set to high for this last chapter to reach, but this book was GREAT! After being very worried for this books potential after the last one left me feeling like there were just too many loose ends to be tied up, I was proven totally wrong. The book delivers what it promises. This is Heather and the Dragon's story. It doesn't waste time on what is happening with the characters we already know that already had their time. It gives 100% of it's time to Heather and Rhys, as it should and yet still takes the time to wrap up the plot left open from the last book in a rather clever way. I can't really talk much about the relationship between the pair as I feel like I would slip very quickly into spoilers but I will say this... I called the reveal of the Dragon's true identity back when I read the first book in the series. And he does turn out to be EXACTLY who I thought he would be. But doesn't that mean that the book was too too predictable? Not even a little bit. The back story revealing the last 10 years of the dragon's life was so unexpected that it made up for me guessing who he was back in book one. The added bonus is the fact that it gives the pair a history makes their relationship and love so much more believable and stronger to me. I had one or two small nitpicks but honestly not even worth mentioning here. SOLID book. HIGHLY recommend this as well as the rest of the series.

Heather's unexpected adventure.
While I have enjoyed all three of The Macinnes Sisters Trilogy, in my opinion, they just got better and better. I like the way the author tied all the books together and allowed her characters to overlap and continue with appearances throughout. I really didn't want to be disturbed while reading.. lol I just didn't want to have to stop and put it down. I would definitely recommend this series to friends. I'm going now to find some more books by Ms. Fletcher. Scotland, mystery, romance and strong personalities really make this one an interesting read.

Excellent and entertaining read
I enjoyed all three books. It's a good sign when I re-read a story over and over. I have read this trilogy three times. The story is cohesive and exciting. It flows well from book to book. It is more enjoyable if you read in order because you have background for minor characters but not necessary to follow main story line.. The only thing negative i have to write is the editing is not well done. I have had to re-read several passage because words were misspelled or missing and the grammar was jumbled.

Great series ending!
Rhys is the Dark Dragon and feared by all. He abducted Heather in book 1 of the series and she escaped in book 2. This time her father married her to the Dragon to save peace for the clan. Heather has no choice but to go with him to be his wife. They soon realize there is more between them than a brokered marriage, but the Dark Dragon has an enemy with a plan for revenge. This book is action packed with a bit of mystery. I loved the characters, although Heather’s sister Patience is even more arrogant and obnoxious than she was in book 2. Not sure how her husband Hunter can tolerate her. Fantastic series.
