Beautiful. Works for most.
Not enough ventilation for larger incense cones (e.g. chipped type cones like palo santo) to stay lit the whole time, works well for standard incense cones.

So darn cute!!
Ok, this is the cutest thing ever!! I'm going to set it up in a small pot base to make a little fairy garden centerpiece.

Cute & Quirky Fairy House
Arrived quickly and well packaged for protection. The item came in a lovely box, it would make a nice gift. I covered the removable base with ash before placing an incense cone on it and placing the house back on top carefully. The effect is really sweet, with smoke puffing out the chimney. As long as you make sure your cone is well lit and burning as it should before placing the house back on the base it seems to work very well and doesn't go out, it allows the incense to burn nicely all the way to the end. Such a cute, quirky item. Love it.

Looks Great - Can take Some Work to Get it Working Properly
I originally gave this product 5 stars when I received it a few days ago, as it looked great, and, perhaps by fluke, the first cone I lit in it stayed alight, and the smoke came out of the chimney as intended. A lot of people have stated in their reviews that the cones kept going out. I assumed I was lucky, or they were unlucky. However, since then I have used cones in this little fairy house 4 more times, and every time the cones went out. Sometimes they would stay alight on the second ignition, but other times I had to re-light it 4 or 5 times. It seems the issue is with the lack of ventilation entering the mouse hole in the back of the house, in order to sustain the burning. It surprised me as the hole is quite big – a little smaller than my thumb nail. It seems you need a gentle air movement around the base of the house, perhaps either by ensuring there is a breeze following around the house, or perhaps positioning the house so that air can enter from underneath the house.Extremely poor design for its intended purpose. If you’re lucky enough to get it to work, it’s great! It looks quaint as smoke emerges from the chimney. But frustration will inevitably grab you as the cones continue to go out. It’s a shame as it really is such an attractive little house.I contacted the third-party seller before purchase to request a green-roofed house, and the seller obliged. I was absolutely delighted with it. It is made of resin and made well aesthetically speaking. Practically speaking, it’s awful.I might try the tree-man incense burner, as that has more favourable reviews. So, 5 stars for the look, but 1 for the poor design leading to cones going out. 3 stars overall.Edit: I tried placing something under the house in order to allow some air to get into the house itself. In the photos attached I have stood the two rear-most house corners on two 5-pence pieces (per corner) in order to raise the back end of the house slightly to allow more air to get into the house. I also find that ensuring the cone is right near the mouse hole at the back of the house helps to encourage air flow to get to it. I did initially have some smoke emerging from the raised house, but it kind of looked like ground mist - quite cool. After a while the "ground mist" stop and all the smoke started to come from the chimney. Once the cone really gets going it's fine. I guess this is because the cone heats the air inside the house, which then rises up through the chimney, drawing in cooler air through the mouse hole at the back. So, it does work but it takes a bit of extra work to get it to do so. Shame really, as I shouldn't have had to do this had the thing been designed properly.Another negative point I have about this type of incense holder, which is true of many types of incense cone holders, is that they start to smell like an old ashtray very quickly. It makes you really think about what is in the smoke of these cones as they burn. I have been using various cones by Stamford, which I thought were supposed to be a good quality cone. When I look inside the Fairy House after burning a few cones, I see a brown shiny, covering inside. Yuck.

It gets two stars for being cute
But it loses the other three stars for being useless for what it was designed for. Not enough air flow and the cones don't stay lit for more than a few minutes. A real pity it doesn't work because it is cute.

I absolutely love my fairy incense burner I was sent the red house, I was surprised at the size as was expecting it to be smaller than it actually is, looks great in my fairy garden, had friends commenting how lovely it is especially when the smoke comes out of the chimney, I will be ordering another 2.

Not impressed!
Absolute rubbish, the cones go out when covered and there is no air flow through it so anytime the cones manage to stay lit the smoke comes out through the hole at the back instead of the chimney

Pretty but...
Really pretty and a great idea however, every time I light an incense cone in it, the cone goes out after a few minutes and I have to relight it. Might just have to use it for decoration now.

I like the houses themselves
I like the houses themselves, they are very pretty design. The ability to create smoke, however, is questionable. The small hole at the back is simply too small to allow enough airflow and most of the cones go out when you put them in.

Cheep
Feels very cheep, there was a chunk missing from the bottom and the hole where the incense should go wasn't cut out properly, the paint on the roof was still sticky and there is a patch on the paint work on the door

Cute
Very cute. When it works it’s lovely, but struggles to keep the cones alight. You have to keep lighting them.

No air flow
No matter how I position the house on its stand my cones go out

Old design far better.
The opening at the bottom of the house too small. The old house I had, had a bigger opening which allowed the circular metal disc not to touch the opening so that it did not stick to it when you lifted it to empty the used cone. The old one far better design.
