Altitude Microsensor V4 by Eagle Tree

I ordered this so I could answer my neighbors (and to be honest, mine) questions about "how high can that fly" with something other than "Higher than you can see it.'Seemed to work great. The only issue are that there's really no place to power or mount or both on some of my smaller micro-copters. But it popped inside my 350QX and ran off one of the unused servo connectors on the FC with no issues.

I am glad to have bought this. I was cautiously optimistic when I ordered it. No reviews at the time either. I am quite satisfied with it. it resets after a power off, but still shows last highest flight within +/- 4 feet. Power off needed to reset and a minimum of a 60 ft flight to display new height. When you power on the last height is flashed in a sequence of three numbers, i.e. if it flashed 1 then 8 then 6 =186 ft. +/- 4 ft. It can be used as an addition for a Eagle Tree Systems setup OR can be stand alone, which is what I use it for.

Would have been nice to know that this module is somewhat sensitive to air flow and prop wash. Once I resolved those issues, it seems to work well.

I installed this in my DJI Phantom, make sure it's out of the prop wash or you will get false readings. It works great, I installed it inside next to the battery compartment, cut a small rectangle hole for the display and you can read your altitude out side the Phantom

Worked as advertised and arrived on time. A friend order one when he saw how well mine worked.

These are an excellent addition to the data logger and are also very handy in stand-alone appications.
