The Love Wins Companion: A Study Guide for Those Who Want to Go Deeper

This was a fantastic follow-up to Rob Bell's incredible book "Love Wins." What I liked the most was the unpacking of Bell's work by another spiritual writer and then augmented with readings from other authors. Although the group discussion questions were good fuel for thought, they were awkward in practice for an individual reader like me. I did not expect this book to be geared toward a group study. After reading both "Love Wins" and this companion work you are still swayed by detractors such as those in "Erasing Hell", (which is absolutely NOT what Rob Bell has attempted to do) then you have turned a blind eye by choice to the deep exploration of how God must truly love us...all of us. One of my favorite recollections of Bell's work here is when he spoke of Jesus not having come to rescue us from God...he came to rescue us from ourselves!

This study guide companion to 'Love Wins' is a real treat, digging deeper into the topics, themes, and minutiae of Rob Bell's now-classic book. Both the original and this companion offer up enough material to keep a reader pondering life and his or her place in it for a long time. 'The Love Wins Companion' is a great resource.

This is a good supplement to the main text Love Wins. It is somewhat repetitive, but also adds more clarity from Rob Bell about what he was thinking when writing a given chapter and it has some supplemental reading material that is useful. It serves to make clear Bell's dependence, or at least symbiosis, with N.T. Wright's theology and N.T. commentary. It was a helpful resource in leading a discussion group on the main text.

Wow! I used this book as a companion to the book itself when I taught a course on it at my church. It was chock-full of well-thought-out discussion questions as well as readings for further study. Great supplement to any study of "Love Wins"!

Another book I got my son. And it has changed him 100%. I am sure some of you are saying yea ok. Well let me tell you. My son is a drug addict and we have been trying for years to get him to stop. Well this book and a few others have really helped. You have tp be ready to change first. After 60 days of no drugs he read this book and others and said he finally sees the light at the end. So yes it has helped him. No he cannot do it alone, he is getting help. And yes I will be buying him more of Robs books;.

I purchased about 10 of these for a young adult book study class I was leading. This one came in good condition, true to what the seller stated, which was fine for our group. I appreciated not having to hit the budget so hard with new books. I saved over half the price.

A very helpful and readable examination of grace as well as of many Church teachings and attitudes among US Christians. Our reading group enjoyed the book and resonated with Rob Bell's insights and sense of humor. The companion volume is also excellent.

Rob Bell!! makes my brain hurt in a good way . meets me in my struggle to match god to my life. challenges religious madness in behaviour and in theology. wow is my response to many pages in this book

This book will challenge your beliefs. You might not accept all he teaches but hey its good to challenge those long held traditional views. You need to have read Love Wins first though.

The book arrived promptly and was in very good condition. I will be using it as a study guide for a group of friends.
