Great for Travelling
This tiny little piece of hardware has literally changed the way I travel. It is worth so much more than the $4 I paid for it. My boyfriend and I travel often and this little guy comes in handy if we happen to splurge and pay for a $6 movie on the plane. We are both able to enjoy the movie or podcasts etc. Its just so much nicer to enjoy things with another person especially on LONG flights.I keep this guy in my travel carry on bag because thats really the only time I use it, but I can see that it would come in handy for others in different ways. I am soo happy with this purchase!

When in doubt, try Belkin accessories!
I got these for a variety of applications including listening to music and movies on my iPad2 with my better half. Much like the male-to-male ministereo "iPod" cables, anything marketed as an Apple accessory is over-priced. Well, this dual jack/headphone splitter will work anywhere you have a headphone jack or 3.5mm ministereo jack. Yes, that includes Apple products! There's not much else to report here. No noticeable impact to sound quality or signal attenuation. These Belkin audio splitters do exactly what they're supposed to. It may be worth noting that the cables seem thick and durable so I expect no issues down the road, either. As a bonus, Apple enthusiasts will likely love the white color.. Personally, I would have preferred these in black or blue but Belkin tends to stick to white for their cables, from what I've seen. 8)

Just what I needed - a great option
I was traveling to Las Vegas with a friend and the plane ride was long. We were using a
Samsung GO N310-13GB 10.1-Inch Midnight Blue Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life
and watching
Vegas Vacation (Widescreen Edition)
. This little splitter worked great with our headphones (we used the stock iPhone headphones) and we were able to watch the movie and hear it even through all of the airplane noises. It was great. This little splitter is worth having around for those times when you just want to share a movie, songs, whatever. It can work in laptops, netbooks, smartphones ...The construction is well done and it's just a simple splitter. There is not much more I can say about it except that we were able to hear our movie over airplane noises and I did not notice a great loss in volume or tone.I liked having it and will continue to keep it for traveling.

Does what it's supposed to!
What can you say? It's a splitter. It splits.Works great. I have my headphones and my speakers both hooked up to the same jack on my computer, so I can always put on the phones and turn off the speaker when I don't want to disturb someone in the house. WAY easier than constantly swapping plugs back there, which is what I did for a couple of years.NOTE: if you've never used one, be aware that there's a dramatic dip in volume as soon as you plug in a second headphone. This is no issue with this splitter, it's just how audio works. The only way to keep the volume level even is with a headphone amp, which will run you at least $40 for a crappy one. If you can deal with cranking up the volume a bit, you can't go wrong with this cable.

I HAD A TV WITH ONE AUDIO OUT JACK BUT I WANTED TO CONNECT TWO SPEAKERS - THIS LITTLE SPLITTER DID THE TRICK!
I connected this little audio line spliter to my TV and into a set of admittedly cheap speakers and the sound was not bad at all. I have a HDTV with great picture quality that was ultra thin. Unfortunately this great HDTV picture shared space with speakers are also ultra bad. This little cable connected to the TV and some computer speakers and suddenly the sound is worth listening to. Oh I know a Big nice HDTV wants huge speakers and a billion dollar sound system. I live in a building full of dear old things who don't need huges speakers rocking their worlds. These little speakers are fine and my little cable works like a charm. I must recommend it having earned five stars.

Excellent headphone splitter
I wanted a headphone splitter that was durable & easy to travel with. I previously had been using a wire-free version (similar to
3.5mm Headphone Jack Splitter
), but this had 2 problems: headphones with large connectors wouldn't necessarily fit next to each other, and all the stress of bending the wires went into the headphone wires which caused more than one pair to break a connection internally. This splitter fits great with all my other travel electronics thanks to the small size, and so far has performed flawlessly. And I'm happy to report that I haven't had a pair of headphones break while using this! Highly recommended for someone looking to get a cheap splitter.

Just realized I needed something like this and Voila - Here it is.
I'm going to my first ever professional football game. I know it will be noisy and hard to see everything. So, I am taking a radio to "listen" to the radio broadcasters! Good idea huh? anyway I'm taking a friend and wanted us both to hear. I thought about sharing one set so we each had one ear, but then I thought about all the noise and how we'd be tied to each other. If one moved there would go the ear phone. This is perfect! We can each listen to the game with our own headsets and just one radio!

Works great
I was concerned that perhaps splitting the line level output from the audio jack on the computer and feeding it to the speakers on the desktop AND the receiver in the living room would end up meaning that I would get insufficient output to drive both, and especially driving the signal through the 50 feet of cable required to get to the receiver. However, this, combined with a heavy duty 50 foot audio cable I bought here on Amazon (Premium 2 RCA Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male, 50 ft) does exactly what I want, and everything works as it should. I notice no reduction in the audio from the desktop speakers, and the receiver is getting plenty of input as well. Very pleased.

nice in principle but problematic in practice
nice the idea to use splitter to share a nice movie on a plane or in general on the go. However the main problems is that it does not fit perfectly the plug (either on my Mac or PC laptop) and another big problem is that you need to find the right combination when you try to plug into it both headphones: if you push all the way it, one headphone will work but not the other. So, to make it work, you need not to push it into the splitter completely and find the right position. However, don't get excited with other splitters on the market. I tried another brand and it plays the same tricks so my recommendation would be buy it only if you are really dying for it and lower your expectations.

seems to be quality control issue: I bought two
I read reviews where some people said, "It's not stereo!" and "Only one side works properly!" Well I am sitting here experiencing basically that problem. Jiggling the headphone jack, or pulling it out partially seems to fix it for the most part, but even while I was sitting here typing the sound suddenly faded out for some reason until I jiggled.Ha! My original rating was 3 stars and it's moved down to 1 start during the course of writing it. Sheesh - how hard is it to put three connectors and a wire together? The mind boggles. On the other hand, it was almost stupidly cheap.

One of the socckets has reversed audio
I needed this to to split my PC's front output between a headset and some higher quality headphones. It works exactly as it should. Both the headset and headphones get sound with no loss in sound quality.Edit: While listening to audiobooks and music this seemed great. However upon trying a game I noticed the audio through headphones had the channels reversed. Upon testing various earphones/headphones and headsets it seems that one of the sockets on this reversed the audio while the other socket outputs it correctly.

Simple wee device that does what it says.
Simple wee device that does what it says. Delivery a bit slow, but then they warned me of this.I needed it for connecting my Creative 14 Watt speakers and Creative 5 W. speakers. I play music at local hall for tea dances (Charity). The larger speakers were just powerful enough to provide a good volume level. But did not want to run them on the Max (almost) for any length of time, so now I have the method to back up the volume with the small speakers. Perfect. So if anyone in similar situation, then hope info helps.

Simple and efficient.
Does the job very well, and the anti strain ends to the cables mean that you will be hard pressed to break them at the joints to the jacks. The only issue that I found with it was that every now and then you had to turn the headphones that were inserted into one of the split jacks to make them work properly, this may be a particular problem for some people, or may not even occur for others, but for the price, you shouldn't really be asking for more.
