Retro PU Leather Camera Case for Nikon D7100 Camera - Black

I have many camera bags in all sizes that can hold all of the accoutrements – lenses, cleaner, filters, SD cards, cords and the like but I wanted a case that just covered the camera itself. I selected this case because I liked the fact that it covered the lens and not just the body - as a lot of other body cases do. More often than not, my camera is out ready for use and being a bit obsessive about my gadgets, I don’t like them to be naked. I also don’t like stuffing my camera back into a bag when not in use. I tend to use my 18-135mm lens the most and this case fits my Nikon D7100 with this lens perfectly. All of the controls are accessible except for the HDMI/USB ports, which for me, is fine most of the time. If I need access to the ports, the body piece quickly unscrews. The case unsnaps easily and swings out of the way when I use the camera. The lens hood completely detaches if desired for use on a tripod or just having the camera ‘case less’ but not completely so. It’s retro in look which I like. The quality is nice and it's just what I was looking for.

The case is very nicely made and fits perfectly over my D7100 with the Nikon 18-200 mm VR lens I always use with it. Most of the time I have the camera in a larger camera bag that holds more memories and batteries, but this gives me something less bulky to carry it in when on a short outing and I don't need the larger bag.

So so quality. The case did not have the Nikon Logo on and came without a strap. I found a much better one in brown leather with the Nikon name ton the front of the camera and a leather neck strap also with the Nikon logo on it.

I was looking for something to protect my D7100. I didn't want to deal with the hassles of a bag. I then found this case. It was what I was looking for. It completely covers my camera. Access to the camera for taking pictures is also very fast and easy. I have a Sigma 18-250 with the lens hood attached and is a perfect fit.

Terrible fit! May even damage, or strip the threads on the tripod mount! It did not arrive in the Nikon box, as shown.
