Hitachi 1.5 Ton 5 Star Inverter Split AC (Copper RSOG518HDEA Gold)

A lighting fast delivery from Amazon - Placed order in evening and AC was delivered next day by 9.00 am. Got 2 automated calls to confirm the availability or if I would like to reschedule delivery. So an extra shout out for a great user experience. Emergencies do happen and sometimes one really have to reschedule, it's assuring than that can be done easily.Fantastic and fast installation from Hitachi :Called Hitachi customer care to generate an installation request. They took all details, re-confirmed, explained charges etc in detail, thus giving a fair idea what kind of charges to expect. The techincals came in about 2 hours, were very professional and did quitea fantasticc job!!!This is my second AC from Hitachi and the machine simply works great. If someone is looking for no frills AC, with great cooling and little noise then this is the best bet I guess.Overall an extremely satisfied customer !!!

I purchased and got it installed earlier this month. Works great. Cooling is great. Very powerful fan and therefore, the cool air circulation in my 10 x 15 bedroom (where this AC is installed) is excellent. Around this time (mid-April), daytime temperature in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, reaches a maximum of 40 degrees celcius. However, I have not had to turn the AC temperature setting below 26 degrees celcius! At temperature settings of 26, 27 or 28 degree celcius itself, the cooling of the AC is very effective, so that one feels very comfortable in the room even at peak heat hours during the day. I have only two complaints (negatives) against the AC: (i) It is is bit noisy, when the fan is working and throwing cool air in the room. (ii) The design of the AC is such that it looks bulky, in terms of width. Also, the look of the AC is a bit ordinary, despite there being a wide gold plate that runs across the length of the AC. Could have been designed to look more elegant, as we have come to expect from Hitachi products. Overall, it justifies the Hitachi brand name and is a solid and well-functioning model AC.

It's very good. This is the first time that I bought a big appliance online and the experience was very good thanks to amazon.Coming to the ac, cools my master bedroom very fast, noise level is low for the compressor and airflow is good.The response from Hitachi for fitting the ac was also good. I bought the ac under their promo that no installation charges would be taken.I got the ac on Friday, called them up immediately, next day even though it was heavily raining, the tech was at my home. He removed my old ac and fixed the new one.Took 900rs for removing the old ac, 750 rs for the stand and 150 rs for drain pipe extension which I felt was reasonable.Overall excellent ac, excellent delivary by Amazon and excellent experience with Hitachi customer service.

I purchased two (1.5 ton split inverter AC in June 2020 for Rs 44850 each). Both the ACs have stopped cooling July 2024 itself. Even after getting these serviced in July 2024 there was no improvement in cooling effect. This season these are giving only hot air. You will kindly agree that if the life of big brand "HITACHI" ACs are less than five years; no one would prefer to buy a AC from a company of Hitachi's repute. Technician says not only these are out of gas but these have gone out beyond repair i.e. cooling coils etc need to be replaced. This is highhandedness on the part of Hitachi that Hitachi is cheating its customers by providing poor quality products which becomes beyond repair within four years of use. Please look into this seriously.

Update (5/9): The warranty discrepancy has been sorted-out through persistent follow up with Amazon & Hitachi Customer care. The Hitachi Customer care has acknowledged the product warranty to be aligned with description in Amazon product page.Good product and streamlined installation. However, the brand refuses to acknowledge the warranty information displayed in the Amazon product page. Hitachi Customer care is insisting that the unit warranty is limited to 1 year and compressor warranty is only 5 years.Even after creating multiple tickets, submitting supporting documents and multiple calls with Amazon Customer care, the issue is still un-resolved till now.

The media could not be loaded. 1. Product purchased at 42kProduct is good and attractive. The only drawback with big AC companies is that they don't showcase the temperature on the unit.2. Installation: I will rate it 3 out of 5.People were punctual but service was average.They did not check after completion of the setup and left in a hurry.3. Guys, please do check the Unit after setup as the water is leaking from the internal pipe and as per the executive they will use mseal to fix it.4. Cleanliness not maintained. If they know that drilling will be done then they should put a mat /newspaper below the unit for less dirty.5. Installation charges are 1180/- + screws of INR 250/- .
