2 Pieces 1/2 Inch Float Valve, Side-Entry Built-in and Built-in Embedded Float Valve, Float Valve with Filter for Automatic Control of Water Level in Water Tank and Pool

I have some old and very strange koi ponds. Sloping sides, concrete, and I needed a way to keep it full without running water all of the time. (concrete leaks). I found something on the internet that looked like it would work, it was about $150 and every where I saw it they were out of stock. So, I found this valve and it used the same concept but obviously cheaper plastic, and smaller, and much cheaper. It was so cheap I felt I had nothing to lose. You actually get two valves, as pictured one takes water from the top and one from the side. I used the one on top. It seemed flimsy but it works. Be very careful not to get stuff inside of it. Clear the pipeline before connecting to this valve. If this lasts six months I will still be delighted and I will probably order a backup sometime soon although in a pinch I could reconfigure the piping and use the other one. It screwed right into my half inch pvc threaded connector.

In theroy all is good.. However in the real world It's not allways the case, as in this one... I bought 4 of them ... Installed 2 of them, So far 1 works correctly and the other wont shut off.... Water is a nightmare when it's not where you want it.. And you must use an adapter that has a gasket in it like a garden hose does or it will leak there also... All the teflon in the world wont act as a high pressure gasket...CAVEAT EMPTOR BROTHER.....

Used to water my chicken flock. Secured to two gallon heavy rubber bucket. Works fine keeping fresh water available to flock.

so the unit appears to shut off when water level is reached. no more water comes out the outlet. however came back the next morning to discover it had overflowed and ran all night. again it looks like the water shuts off, but is still coming out from the main unit you just cant tell because the bottom half is under water.

Neat valves but only work for couple of weeks

Flimsy, did not function at 70 psi. Probably a poor choice on my part, but I wouldn’t use it on a fish bowl.

I see now why they send you two! One lasted only a month before this failed leaving my fountain dry and burned up my pump!

Lo que mas me agrado es que es de facil instalación y gracias a su tamaño no tuve que modificar nada, es mas eficiente que las válvulas de brazo y sella muy bien
