I just received this sound machine. I spent about 6 hours looking at and comparing sound machines before I settled on this particular model. It has a good number of sounds for the money I spent. It also had a $4.00 off coupon at the time I purchased it. But there were no agreements about positive reviews in exchange for the coupon. I'm not getting any type of remuneration for this review or the purchase of the product. I have no connections whatsoever with the manufacturer or the seller of this product, or any employee of either. The only connection I have is my purchase of the product with my own money, and with a clearly marked $4.00 coupon on the item page. I will not receive a refund for a review either.I haven't used it for sleeping yet, so I'll have to come back and update in a month or so after I've used it for awhile but honestly when I listen to it, it's loud enough to drown out the garbage truck, and the thump thump of bass music playing in cars going by, as well as other household noises.This machine is made of a lightweight plastic but does not feel delicate or flimsy. The one I bought is white with dark grey markings on the buttons. It has an orange light in the bottom of the unit which I don't need, but if you need a nightlight it is a nice feature. I turned it off right away.Using a regular old fashioned wooden ruler the top and bottom measure right about 4 inches, and it stands almost 2 inches tall. It has 4 little rubberized type pads about 1/3 inch wide on the bottom. They should be able to prevent most slipping and sliding but if you need a firmer non slip some velcro ought to work or one of those non skid things made to put under carpet corners. There any number of ways to prevent slipping. Like I said it's rubbery enough that it should prevent most slippage.The only drawback I can see is it takes one of those round plug ins. So you can't use just any USB power cord. This has a USB cord but has that pin type end that plugs into the side of the machine.It's not a deal breaker, but you can't just pull out one of those USB cords, to replace it, that I'm sure everyone has in their junk drawer. LOL. A power brick is included which is very nice because you won't have to juggle charging your phone, tablet , laptop and etcetera with using the sound machine all night. Cudos for an included power brick!So I got this little machine for $15.00 and change plus tax.I just opened the box, and removed the power brick and the power cord and plugged all of it up and in. The power button is clearly visible, and easy to press. The buttons are a good size and far enough apart that someone with big hands and fingers can press each button without pressing other buttons at the same time. Cudos to the person who designed this machine for the well thought out placement of the buttons. The buttons do NOT light up, so if you need buttons that light up go with a different machine. I don't require light up buttons so they're fine for me.Honestly even kids could operate this sound machine without instructions. I figured it out in a couple of minutes, without looking at the instructions, but I had them nearby just in case.The buttons are arranged in a semicircle around the top of the machine just above the speaker which is in the center of the top. It's a nice sized speaker. Each button is clearly marked with the operation it is for. I ran through all the sounds for which there are forward and backwards buttons, so you can go through the sounds from either direction. I need reading glasses and I could see these marking fine without reading glasses. Each button is a little over 3/4 an inch, and the speaker grill is approximately 2 inches wide and circular in shape, and it sits directly in the center on the top. There are 5 indicator lights that reflect the timer if you choose to use that function and they are a very bright white color when in use.The timer function can be set easily by turning the machine on a pressing the button with a clock face, and can be set for 1,2,3 or 4 hours, or infinite play with no time limit.The volume up and down buttons are clearly marked, and to go either up and down in volume doesn't take a lot of clicks. There is a comfortable increase of sound for each click. Cudos for that also. I've bought items before that take many many clicks to get to a good volume. Love this little machine! So easy to operate, lots of different noises to choose from. I prefer the meditation sound all night long but there are crashing waves, bird sounds, campfire, lullabies, piano, thunder, rain, stars in the night, heavy rain and lots more. There is an “infinity” timer button which is perfect for nighttime rest. The machine takes a bit more room on my nightstand than a large coffee cup which is perfect for me; it’s very compact, well designed, very lightweight and just plugs in easily with the cord that is provided. I got the white color to blend in with my lighter decor but it would honestly blend in with any colors you have in your bedroom, family room or kitchen area. Try it-I think you will like it as much as my family and I do - even my dog loves it!

"Preliminary review" as I just bought this and don';t know how long it may last. I have used the standard SleepMate type for years, but this one was much less expensive and I wanted to try it before the Trump tariff taxes caused the price to go up by a third or more.So far the item has been excellent, and setting it up was easier than I had anticipated after reading some reviews. It arrived quickly and in fine shape. I only tried a few of the sounds and found one that works for me. All in all, another 5.

Just bought this noise maker about a week ago to replace an older different model and I love this one! There’s a bunch of choices for sounds and there’s a night light but I don’t like lights that stay on so this one can be turned off which I prefer. It also has a timer which is cool but I keep mine on all night. Great price for what you get.

It does the work. I like that I don't need a phone to use it, so it ca be placed in a child's or elderly person's room. It's easy to operate and it saves the last setting automatically. I wish it had more than only 1 melody, for example, a sound bath. Other than that it's a great buy.

I am a foster parent. My foster child hit 18 months and IMMEDIATELY went through several regressions, one being sleep- both at night and during nap time. This sound machine has saved my sanity. He loves the night light portion and the noise cancels out the house noise after he is put to bed. He sleeps longer and more deeply than ever before and has better moods during the day. We are VERY pleased with the quality of the product, the many options for sounds, and the results of using the machine.

I turned this thing on and even the neighbor’s dog stopped barking. Baby knocked out in 2 minutes flat — I barely had time to do my victory dance (quietly, of course). It’s small, mighty, and lasts longer than my patience at bedtime. If sleep were a sport, this machine deserves the gold 🏅.P.S. I kinda want one for myself too... shhh. 😴😂

Works great, has several sound options to choose from and a light. My 2.5 year old likes to turn the light on himself now. I bought this one for his room since he moved back to his own room, I couldn’t sleep without a sound machine and he likes the light.
