Agree with a previous reviewer. No power cord (although) one is pictured, and no instruction manual. You're on your own!I just wanted a box to house 4 individual hard drives, but Verbatim's online manual is beyond cryptic.My Mac doesn't even recognize the Verbatim, even though the it is fitted with 2 FIreWire ports, which are a Mac interface.I put one drive in it, but it does not work. Does it require that all 4 drive bays have hard drives installed? Who knows… there is no way to find out, except by trial and error.Very poor implementation. Not recommended!

Low cost, high value for my use. Simple to install and use. One minor issue; it detected a failing drive (the drive was new out of the box), but after removing/reinserting the drive and telling the PowerBay to rebuild the RAID, no issues thereafter. Runs like a champ so far and I'm considering buying another.

No power cord and no instructions in the box. (Really??) I would have given it 1 1/2 stars, not 2. I needed a solution and didn't feel the need to return it but not recommended for anyone else.

Software and manual are missing. Doing the Internet thing to find what I need. Got the manual

This product is awful. For one, it's obsolete... It was a week after it was released. Verbatim will not offer support. To try and make this huge water off time and money work by placing useful firmware on it.... Well, let's just say it didn't work. I will never buy another verbatim product.

Works great. Easily found a manual on the internet and had an extra power cord laying around. I threw in 4 old drives of various sizes in an RAID 10 configuration and it works wonderfully. Very happy considering the price is a fraction of what other similar bays sell for.

no documentation, very slow data transferes and loose power cord connector, I sent this back after 3 days and two dropped connections to my server

did not work at all. Returned item STAY AWAY!!!!
