I placed the order earlier in the week because it is way too hot for my preference here, and my home didn’t have an AC so I bit the bullet and decided to buy this one. This window unit was delivered three days early (which was the day after ordering), so I was super happy about that! I was able to set it up on my own, and I’ve never done anything similar before so the fact even I could understand and follow the instructions was definitely something! Add in the fact that I didn’t even need to call someone for help with lifting or clarifying anything, this could be handled by just about anyone IMO. Installation took at most a couple of hours and that included opening the box and unpacking everything, reading through instructions entirely before starting, taking breaks during installation because it was HOT in here that day, and keeping my cats away from the open window. I got it set up and plugged in and it cooled my unit down within a couple hours. It’s been the perfect temperature, easy to manage the controls on, and overall I’m super pleased with my experience so far! My place is on the smaller side with some weird windows (most of the big ones slide sideways, the one big one that slides up and down is in the bathroom at the end, and the other up and down sliding ones are too small for anything at all to fit) so I was pleased to find a unit that worked with that. It doesn’t stick too far inside so I’m able to have it in the window above the couch just fine. Noise level isn’t too bad either considering it’s taking the air from 84 to 68. I can’t complain at all! I love it and my cats love it.

First off... ALL Window air conditioning units make noise... this unit is wicked quiet "in general". It just seems loud because it's next to the couch.My wife and I bought this for our condo because it was the best room to have the AC in but we needed it to fit in the smaller window.condo is 830sqftthe area that it's used for; living room - kitchen (more than half) of a 2 bedroom condo.It's Awesome! Delivered 2 Days Earlier than it said it would be, in the middle of the summer on the hottest weekend!Dimensions are spot on.

I had bought another Keystone model for my bedroom and have been very pleased with how well it maintains a set temperature AND how well it dehumidifies. Lack of dehumidification has been my number one complaint with casement window A/Cs, including (and especially) the most popular brand. I hate having to run a dehumidifier in addition to a window A/C.I needed a replacement casement A/C for my mother's apartment., which (like mine) can only take A/C's that are less than 17" wide. Even though Keystone doesn't publish its noise ratings, I decided to take a chance based on reviews reporting that the unit is quiet. I was amazed that the unit is so quiet you can barely hear it!!!! Fabulous!!! (Keystone - please publish the noise decibel levels!!)Updated - now that we've had some hot humid days. The unit really does dehumidify the room. Outstanding! It's also been consistently quiet, because the fan isn't horribly noisy like the other casement A/C's I've owned. Example: the one I'm running right now, the fan is somewhere around 70-75 dB, despite the manufacturer's claim of 52 dB. I think they either outright make those numbers up, or they report the sound level from 20 feet away or something. Or maybe from the next state.Negatives - first, the Eco mode doesn't work well. It allows the temperature to fluctuate way too much. Second negative is that the large slats on the sides of the outdoor part of the unit need to be protected with screens. Something blew in there, maybe during a rainstorm, and there was a nasty buzzing sound when the compressor was on for a few days. It's gone now.Knocked off a star for energy efficiency, because as happy as I am with this unit, an ER under 11 is frankly ridiculous in the modern era, and at this price point. Come on guys...build a modern casement A/C will ya??? Use inverter technology, get the noise down below 40 dB and ER up to 15, and I'll be forever grateful.

This is a nice air conditioner. It takes up less room in the window and because of slider window there is less of an opening above the ac unit and the top of the window sill. The noise level is not too loud and the remote is easy to use. It is a little heavy so get help when installing.

Like many other reviews have said; for as much money as this is I would have expected it to work better. But when this is the only air conditioner I could find to fit my 15" window, then I suppose they can be as crappy as they want bc what other options there...

This item was delivered in pieces. I had to try to re-package and ship back to Amazon air conditioner is cheaply made for the price. I have contacted Amazon several times trying to get my refund and they continue to tell me I have to wait 30 days. Terrible item and service.

just installed today , was a fairly easy install. did have to buy some wood to mount in front and rear for the stand outside. kit does come with everything, but wood is needed. unit is heavy so 2 people is recommended for sure. As far as cooling goes this thing kick A$$ , hottest room in the house is now the coldest.
