How do you clean it? (And are parts dishwasher safe?)

You have to wipe with damp cloth rather than submerge in water. I use soft side of scourer with washing up liquid and rinse the inner part under running tap and then wipe dry. It’s really easy to clean

how wide is the machine?

It is quite large. 32cm high 28cm wide 28cm deep.

Can I order it with a EU plug?

Currently the vortex is only available with a fixed U.K. plug - a EU version will be available in 2021

do you need to check on food half way to get crispy chips or not?

It is pre-set to beep half way to remind you to turn food. With chips you have to keep giving them a good shake. I don’t really use it for chips but love this air fryer. It has almost made my microwave redundant. We use every day and it’s brilliant to re- heat food especially things like stale doughnuts or croissants . It’s fast too so you have to keep eye on food.
