This works just as good as the $2000.00 one. Maybe the battery doesn't last quite as long but it does come with 2 so it isn't a problem.

I was hoping that a $1000.00 machine would work at least moderately well. This one did not. The strapping tensioner would be too loose and then with minimal adjustment it would be too tight and snap the nylon. The heating element rarely welded and held. We tried two different nylon brands and even tested on existing welded nylon. Nothing worked. I tried really hard for several hours to get it to work, and fearing it might be me and not the machine I asked two others to try the machine and they too were disappointed and frustrated. It may be that we got a bad machine, but it for us definately was a let down. We are returning this one and will be trying another brand and will post our results.

We've used the higher strapping machines from Uline etc. This one worked exactly like them. You have to use the plastic type strapping it heats the pieces together perfect. Won't work on metal strapping.
